No they haven't. Those are incredibly falsified numbers.

On most nights the vast majority of stadiums are half empty
It's the difference between tickets sold and turnstile count.
It counts as attendance and thus it counts as revenue.
Fannys in the seats is the only measure of fan interest. Lots of tickets are purchased by corporations who use them as marketing tools with their customers. But the customers really don’t care to attend. Ergo all the empty seats.

It has always been that way since they built company boxes. You should know that.

I'm in Section 148...the last few years we’ve seen a steady decline in season ticket holders...mostly due to poor, boring baseball
..no stars...Mo-ran the Clown....and the apparent lack of urgency by DeTwit...the front office (donkey) kissers can't make excuses all day long....the fans are sending a message!

Of course I know that, Red. Don't be condescending. But the corporate people I know say that they are having trouble
getting clients/customers who what to go to games. It's not because the Cardinals aren't doing well. It's because the game has become boring - mainly strike outs, walks, and 4 baggers.

You need to quit with your tripe about the game being boring. It is boring in St. Louis because the product they are putting on the field. It might be better with an exciting team that plays the game well.

I it is dead to you, quit following it and start watching soccer or something else. It's not dead to me..

I heard that old people don't go to Cardinals games because it was too hot and many went to soccer matches...I'm sure it had nothing to do with the Mo-ran legacy or DeTwits business incompetence!

Two things can be true at the same time.

Baseball's economics need a serious overhaul, including a salary cap/floor and increased revenue sharing.
Bill DeWitt can and should spend a higher percentage of baseball revenues on payroll.
1.) For sure.
2.) Sure, as long as the company has break even or positive cash flow.
You are not a fan; you are a company man only looking at profits. It may be time for you to find another (hobby) sport to follow.
I've been a fan as long as you have. But I'm also the owner of a company and have consulted owners of privately held companies in both the U.S. and Europe for over 45 years. I'm not sure you have that kind of background. But one thing I would point out to you - there may be a cash call provision in the St. Louis Cardinals LLC operating agreement. That could make a big difference in how/why the LLC stays at or above the break even or above cash flow line.
Like I said, you are a company man and not a fan.

You may be a great long time fan, Red, but you sure don’t know how business works. There are a number of owners of the Cardinals. And maybe some of them don’t want to subsidize a negative cash flow.

No, I’m a realistic fan who looks at the facts and tries to figure out how they can return to respectability.

Then maybe they should have asked the majority owner and his front office why their investment is falling off a cliff.

I guess I'm not a fan of good baseball.

Simple question, Red (fan). Who’s the #1 outfield prospect in the Cardinals farm system?

I generally don't agree with you Cranny, but i do here. I am in this corporate world. We have a box at busch. People aren't even taking the tickets because baseball overall isn't the cool event....at the moment.... When City soccer tickets come up for our box there people fight over them. It's a phase i think.
