Looks like he was waiting til Mo was gone.
I think that was 1/2 of it.
The other 1/2 is that Bloom asked him.
The question is did bloom ask him just for him to help or because he may replace oli with him after next season or because he wants to appease the fans upset he kept oli
You know my answer to this:
Yadi becomes manager in 2027, we go to the NLCS in 2028 and get to the WS in 2029.
With this team?
Really?
No, not at all.
But this team will not be the team of 2007 2008 or 2009.
I have faith that Bloom will shake things up.
Well…..unlike some others, you understand that the current situation is player failures, not the manager..
Congrats on your wisdom…
Having a nice exchange, and you have to go down a nasty rabbit hole.
Try to play nice.

Here come the "Toxic" insults. A first ballot HOF player whom LaRussa described as a co-manager is toxic. Pujols is toxic. I suppose Musial was also.
"Toxic" is not intended as an insult.
It is a highly informed assessment based on established information.

Yadi being a smart player and great baseball IQ does not translate into managerial success.
He also was very selfish late in his career and did not help his future replacements one bit, he basically stole 20 million his last year with his effort and time away from team
He needs to prove his worth and dedication to the team - bench coach, pitching coach, manage a minor league team.

He hasn’t earned a managerial job at all
Spot.
On.
You guys are creating a straw man.
He is not applying for manager-that position is taken next year.
They are not hiring him to take over for Marmol.
Not in 2026.
That happens in 2027.
He is coming on on, presumably, as a bench coach.
As it should be.

Would lil Oli be so arrogant, clueless, and aloof to agree to accept Yadi as his bench coach and eventual replacement???
The Marmot is in no position to argue.
Not even when a decision is laughably stupid.
He will do what he is told - and will be grateful to simply be allowed to say "yes sir".

I fine if he selfishly wants to win baseball games…….this “I’m your buddy [nonsense]”, “Don’t want to make anyone mad”,”Make sure the vet bat 3 when the vet sucks”……should not be in play with Yadi. I don’t think he’ll care and he should have some cache to run his own show. BDW won’t strong arm or embarrass his lifetime Cardinal HOF player.

Careful there Paige…….you could be in timeout for a month or longer. I won’t be the one to turn you in though….I don’t play that game.

Arenado said in may the last couple of seasons the cardinals went into games hoping good things happen instead of expecting things to happen. So the last time they had a winning attitude as a team was when yadi and Albert were on the team. That’s also the last time they won anything. I don’t know how Mel can say he’s toxic to the team when he had a 19 year career made the post season 13 of those times went to World Series 4 times winning 2 of them. Mel is just an idiot

He's safe. It was aimed in the right direction for the powers that be.

Clearly a reference to Brooklyn Nets fans.
Clearly.
