I have no problem with your view, I disagree with your conclusions but as the way you stated, you're not looking to discuss it. All Good. Please don't take my opinion for "contempt". I am thankful for Petro's contribution and while I take offense to his attitude during "Return to Play", I recognize his contribution and am glad he was here. Like when the Cards didn't sign Pujols, i understood why and history proved them right. Same with the Blues and Petro. If he had played at a HOF level the last 5 seasons, I'd agree with you. As a whole, his contract is an albatross if Vegas doesn't win in '23. The Blues weren't winning the Cup in 2023 with or without him. Have a good weekend.seattleblue wrote: ↑27 Sep 2025 12:49 pmfair enough, you have contempt for the first Blue to touch the Cup. not my thing but I'm not telling you what to think. just expressing what I think.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑27 Sep 2025 12:47 pmI don't see it that way at all.seattleblue wrote: ↑27 Sep 2025 10:56 am Five years ago today. The horror dark day that set our favorite franchise back years, and the GM admits it. He knows what he did.
He's turned the ship around and may get another chance but it has been five long years without the Blues contending when they had contended for a decade with this hall of fame player leading them. I missed rooting for a contender the last five years, that doesn't get put back. Fawning over the GOAT has to always retain the one time he crashed the plane into the side of the mountain killing all aboard.
The only "Great" thing Petro ever did for the Knights in the playoff was his dastardly monumental pussified slash on Draisaitl... because he couldn't cover him and he is too much of a physical vagina to take him out legally.
He was often their third-best Defenseman in the playoffs and was completely shut out of the Conn Smythe voting.
Did he "Help" them?
Yes.
The End.
Do you condone, and/or admire his slash from behind on the leading scorer in the playoffs? Or, the way he sped away from any retaliation from the crippled Oiler?
Is there a better epithet for THAT play than "pussified" or "Vagina'?
You tell me.
