Dude. We talked about this. The guy was asking a question, he may know nothing about St. Louis beyond what he's read online. Are you drunk posting? Close your laptop down and slowwwwwwwly back away from the computer. For your sake.seattleblue wrote: ↑06 Sep 2025 14:30 pmPerhaps .... and then he generalized didn't he? There was one person objecting and look how inaptly he labeled that. Part and parcel with this guy. Bruce is someone who doesn't look too closely. He's a generalizer, and he's afraid, which isn't merely a pitiful state of emasculation it's also a toxically evil combination in this world. It's everyone's responsibility to not be some afraid little bi tch because then you hurt people behind your little ignorant fears. We already know this about people, it's evident constantly now, it is utterly risibleMr.Snuggleupagus wrote: ↑05 Sep 2025 16:45 pmI think Bruce deserves the benefit of doubt.seattleblue wrote: ↑05 Sep 2025 11:43 am In a situation where it would get reported if Blues fans were being preyed on en route to and from games, and that is absolutely not a thing, this question was risibly framed IMO.

What year did this take place?seattleblue wrote: ↑05 Sep 2025 11:15 am I walked across the US without a weapon (or cell phone back then) through multiple urban areas when I was 23 so I think people who ask this question are a combination of afraid and maybe one other thing.

Re: Safety in St. Louis
A lot of people take their Metrolink from Lambert EVERY DAY and are not robbed, murdered, or harmed in any way. The same with from Union Station to the Arch. Now, I would avoid it late at night and it’s senseless to ride it the short distance from the Drury to Enterprise. However, I highly recommend getting a multi-day pass and using the he77 out of it.bruceglazer99 wrote: ↑05 Sep 2025 10:14 am My wife and I will be traveling to St. Louis (from MA) this season for two Blues games. My concerns are about safety. Is it safe to use the Metro train to/from Lambert Field and also for the Gateway Arch? Is Uber a better alternative?
Also, is it safe to walk from the Drury Inn (at Union Station) to/from Enterprise Center, or should we take an Uber?

Because I'm curious. Sure. But what are you hoping to glean from that info?Mr.Snuggleupagus wrote: ↑07 Sep 2025 12:49 pmBecause I'm curious. Re: Safety in St. Louis
My son lives 3 blocks from Enterprise and rides the metrolink every day to work near Wash U, plus every time he travels out of town he rides it to the airport. He has never had one issue in 5 years. I have ridden it 3 times from airport to near Enterprise and again never had a single issue.
It seems like most of the “metro will get you killed” responses are from people who lives in the burbs and have never rode it once.
