Well, he strikes out a lot and swings at some terrible pitches. Can't understand why he stands so far away from the place, he's on the white line and has to reach for everything. Just my take.

Could that be a directive from Brant Brown?

not exclusively but...2004
The Astros said they will try to pitch Clemens mostly at home.

I have to assume it is, but it's very strange to see someone stand that far back and strike out on so many outside pitches. Maybe they feel he can't handle the inside stuff and it's better to do what he does.

Rare occasion. GDT in danger of not attaining 100 posts. First time in forever.

Wow! Sure glad we got the lowdown on Teletubbies from the brilliant Brad Thompson!

I kind of liked Chip at first.

But I think the Chip/Brad combo is just terrible.

The Cardinals and the Rockies are the only 2 pitching staffs with less than 1000 strikeouts this season.

Tomorrow it should only be the Rockies.

Other team's BABIP against STL pitchers...

.273 April
.298 May
.301 June
.316 July
.301 August

Got off to a great start defensively but it fizzled out as the year went along.
