I suppose the 20 years old Jesus Baez could be the jewel and only really good future prospect the Cards obtained yesterday.

A C-. Which, in my book, is a F.
They did the bare, bare minimum. What they needed was a home run. It's okay to do the bare minimum if you're in a good spot in the standings. Grab a bench bat, middle reliever, swing-man, whatever. But we didn't have that luxury.
We're a ways off. And a lot of our controllable assets are either blocking progress, not performing, or won't be around by the time we're ready to go again. We didn't need to Twins this, but it needed to be more than business as usual. I'd have moved Gorman and Nootbaar, too. And, much as I absolutely love the guy, Romero.
Also less than thrilled with most of the prospects we got. I've got to squint pretty hard to see the vast majority of them EVER getting to Memphis, much less St. Louis.
