Has a front office ever DFA'd an entire lineup? How many of these guys would actually get picked up by another team if that happened?

This team, like the fans, is demoralized. They will sleep walk through the rest of the season and finish horribly.

Not much effort by the Cardinals today. Tanner Gordon who is a lifetime 1-8 just carving the Cardinals up. A fastball that sits 90-91 , a pedestrian breaking ball has the Cardinals shut out on 3 hits thru 5 innings. Another “best outing of his career” moment for Gordon. How do you just let this team go through the motions. How does a professional player take this effort as acceptable. Somebody break a bat, throw a glove, smash a cooler, do something to let us know there’s a pulse somewhere.

And it sucks because we can't even get higher than like the 11th pick in the draft.

Another walk scores, weird. What a pathetic staff, and on top of that pathetic coaching. Announcers say no room for error. Well walking batters is an error on the bird brain. Pallante is absolutely a joke. One of 26

I mean we are playing as bad as imaginable and still would be drafting 15th? Theres gonna be better stretches for the offense, and some good games from Gray, Libby, McGreevy. Not terribly worried about breaching bottom 10. and even if so itd be like 7-10. Could just as easily slide that far with the lottery. No qualifying offer free agents to keep the second rounder and maybe get the comp again.

There is some rule with the draft order where we can not be any higher than 11th this upcoming season. I think that's what I read on this board.

7 RISP hits last night was an outlier

Yes we are in our second maybe third hitting coach with a lot of this team. At some point you have to stop blaming the coach.
