They aren't going to release him. The Cardinals do not pay players to go away. They'll keep running him out there every 5th day to showcase him for the big deadline blockbuster.

Card players are more knowledgeable about baseball than DBacks.

Hitting is hard. Cards are demonstrating this knowledge. DBacks are not.
