didn't know Brody Moore was such a weak stick. When I watch he seems to comport himself well at the plate.
It is the infield presence that stands out though.

So are you saying easy to promote, but not really "deserving" of promotion? Just a filler type guy? No real plans for him?craviduce wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 09:41 amBrody Moore is a really good infield glove. I always thought of him as a Glove first player. He's easy to promote b/c he can play 3 positions (SS, 2B, 3B), and he's not a full time player. .550-650 OPS player at the plate. He's been thrust into a full time role with Memphis b/c Saggese and Fermin are up with the MLB team, and Prieto is hobbling along.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 23:34 pmCNY,CNYFan wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 21:58 pm A player I like is Brody Moore. His presence and swagger on the diamond is uplifting. He hits pretty good and defends well at 2B.
I see Brody has some starts at SS, but his lack of position versatility may stunt his career progress.
Brody has moved up consistently and not missed a beat, but no one seems to consider him a prospect.
Nice player who another time, another place may have had a chance. I like the player
I'm glad you mentioned him. I was literally just wondering the other day about him. Who is he? Why has he been promoted to Memphis? Seems like he wasn't in SPF very long (???) and his stats didn't scream anything special. What have I missed hwre with him? I keep a decent tab on the minors and he os a guy who has slipped through the cracks, I guess. Tell me more!!
Thanks!

"easy to promote", means doesn't require a majority of available at bats. They're part time players b/c of a weak bat, but good glove. Those are the easiest players to promote. We, as fans, get upset at how slow the team tends to promote our favorite prospects, but prospects require AB's, lot's of AB's...thus they are the hardest ones to promote. You need a vacancy from a full time player in order to promote a prospect.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 12:36 pmSo are you saying easy to promote, but not really "deserving" of promotion? Example....Helman was injured earlier this season, the person promoted wasn't JJ Wetherholt nor was it Jeremy Rivas. The person promoted was Brody Moore...he didn't require AB's to be useful, his glove is the only thing useful. Prieto, Saggese, Torres, and Fermin got more AB's with Helman going down.
