The Gold Cup is not an important tournament. First team players not playing is not important. Taking a break from an arduous workload is.

The Gold Cup is just like the EUROS. Same type of tournament. Would Harry Kane miss the EUROS. I don’t think so.
Now there is going to be a Gold Cup in 2027 - that is the one to skip.
