Wow. What a game!
What does Edmonton do in net now? This has to be a crushing game for Skinner - not that he's entirely to blame for this collapse, but he needs to get a save to stop the bleeding and it isn't happening.
Wasn’t a collapse. Terrible penalties and bad luck.
Duch cheating changed the game. That’s a suspendable offense for me. There’s diving … then there’s that
5 unanswered goals isn't a collapse????
They got 2 quick pp goals … and that Duch play was beyond pathetic. Black eye for the league. That changed the game
What Duchene play are you even talking about? You make zero sense. I watched the game. I thought you were referring to the high stick penalty by Kane, but it's something else?
No it’s that. Stick didn’t even come close. That’s why Kane was so mad. If that were the Blues there would be a lake of tears
I watched the replay they showed, it was a frontal shot and it showed him getting smacked across his left jaw after Kane's stick deflected up. I'll keep an eye out for a video post but I'd say there's a 99+% chance he got hit by the stick.
Yeah post it. I just watched it again … the rear angle looks like a high stick but the front/side they showed it wasn’t close.
No matter … the Oil win Game 2
It was the right call. Duchene embellished it, but this tweet shows he clipped him in the jaw, so by rule, it was a penalty. Hope the link posts ok, as I suck at getting tweets copied in this (bleep) forum.
1). It's amazing what 4 good C's can do. They really had 5, but they culled Faksa due to age, and beggar Army swept up that spillover. Then Faksa went on to be the Blues best performing Center in the playoffs. While Army can't develop C's to save his life, I do credit the thief to know the location of the banks with good Centers. Anybody seen our missing Blues 2C on the highway or in the woods? I haven't seen him on the ice in years.
2) Heiskenen is a beaut. Those TOP5 picks often are.
3) I bet the fans in Edmonton are asking 2 things. If we had Broberg and Holloway, could we have won? If Broberg and Holloway had not been stolen, we could have used them to trade for a good goalie? And finally, the eternal hate of St Louis fans is being cemented. Again, Army had accumulated no speed on his team the way all GMs get speed, and the desperate thief thankfully knows where the Bank is to steal speed from.
4) Dallas is good at building a roster through the draft. Army has gifted away more draft talent than his roster will ever see.
5) Isn't it refreshing to see all lines being scoring threats in one game?
6) Isn't it refreshing to see your best, most highly-compensated, players making a difference? Not just skating around out there, passing back and forth.

You’re right on both counts. Thanks. Canadian feed showed 2 other angles and said there was nothing there because there wasn’t.
Oh, so now there's a "Canadian feed" that shows something different? I'm supposed to believe that, 2nd hand to boot, and NOT believe what I saw (twice) on my expensive big screen oled TV? Ha!
It was a high stick to the head and it was called a penalty. If Kane doesn't want to get called he needs to keep his stick out of opponents faces.

On Sportsnet they said “looked like there was nothing there.” From the front angle. I can tell you the time if ya want old Dawg
One play does not account for 5 unanswered goals in the 3rd period. The Oilers collapsed. And if you think you got a bad penalty, how about actually killing it off? They failed to kill 3 penalties in a row. That's pathetic. And they deserved to lose.

So Dallas was pathetic a post away from going down 4-1? Or were they just rope a dopin lol

The Oilers always come back. You’ll see
I'm actually pulling for the Oilers. But they gave that first game away. End of story. I don't want to hear about goal posts or crossbars or bad penalty calls. That kind of stuff happens, and you have to overcome it.

Bad periods happen. Their pk let them down. Prior to that they had allowed 2 goals in 8-9 periods and won 8 of their last 9.
They will be ok…Dallas had nothing at ES on home ice
Great game. Tough series to root for though. Despise Benn and Deboer and would love for neither of them to ever win the cup. On the EDM side, Perry and Kane are two of the biggest scums the NHL has to offer these days. The EDM narrative is super old too.
I guess I’d rather see DAL prevail just because the hockey media is always super entertaining whenever a Canadian team is eliminated. It’s also fun to read the FTP whining and complaining too.

Someone with knowledge please tell me Dallas doesn't have the money and/or cap space to keep all these guys next season. lol
Bleeder/Theo/Greenstink
I don't how you live with yourself.
Well....you make a complete fool of yourself 6 times in your own thread and then just deny it all is how.

Other than the NHL cameras that are hidden and only used for reviews the game footage comes from a single broadcast feed. TNT, ESPN, TSN and ABC, for example, all use the same footage. They do NOT each have their own camera crews in the building, with the POSSIBLE exception of hand held units. The difference in the broadcasts is how each networks' producers break down and edit that feed for their respective viewers. Only in that context is there a "Canadian feed".
McDavid could quite possibly be the best overall skilled player to play in the history of the game as of yet. Benn is a better Captain.
No question, McDavid and Draisaitl are very dangerous opponents, tough to defend. Edmonton just does not have enough balance in their lineup beyond those two.
I know he is still young, but Broberg could have really helped that D from their collapse. Dallas forwards just swarmed and overwhelmed them.
Does anyone know if there is any video of what Benn may have said in the locker room after the 2nd period to positively inspire his teammates?
