As you said, he’s paid to score.WeWentBlues0819 wrote: ↑23 Apr 2025 16:23 pmHere is that (drat) grinder fetish again. He has 8 goals in his last 14 playoff games. It's one thing to be a star in the regular season, but it takes a different mindset in the post season and it looks like Kyrou doesn't want to go there.bluecard04 wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025 21:13 pm Never showed up and kept looking around for the next time he was going to get hit.
Grow a pair buddy, it’s the playoffs!
Need to get two in the Lou!!

He isn't a physical player. Not everyone has to be. He is paid to score, and he does.
If anything we need bigger guys out there. We can't be relying on Kyrou to be a grinder. That is not his game.
It’s funny, a couple years ago people were like all we want is for him to play some D, get in someone’s way, get a stick in the lane. Well, he’s doing that now, and the goalposts have moved, that’s no longer good enough.![]()

What it really comes down to is that the blues are not a playoff team. Need some bigger guys, both at forward and defence.

Give this man a carnival prize. I was beginning to think that no one would ever win it on BluesTalk.
Here were the clues...
1) The rookie Holloway is out, and sadly a rookie is the straw that stirs the drink in STL. What does that say about the veterans?
2) The Blues have a rookie so fresh from MN that his car still has snow on it on the 1st Line. What does that say about the veterans?
Congrats, slapnutz.

What’s great is that you’re self-admittedly going to torture yourself all off-season because of a draft, while the rest of us are having fun watching playoff hockey, regardless of the outcome. You’re going to be miserable for months. We’re all having fun and can’t be disappointed at all. What a life you’ve chosen for yourself.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑24 Apr 2025 19:01 pmGive this man a carnival prize. I was beginning to think that no one would ever win it on BluesTalk.

Some players are happy to go golfing when they lose. Other players hit the gym in the offseason to be better next year.BudOnTap wrote: ↑24 Apr 2025 19:48 pmWhat’s great is that you’re self-admittedly going to torture yourself all off-season because of a draft, while the rest of us are having fun watching playoff hockey, regardless of the outcome. BluesTalk can rest assured that ASOGG will be hitting the gym. His slapshots will be better than ever next year.

Kinda seems they are a playoff team since they’re, you know, in the playoffs.
Now if you want to argue they’re not a Cup team, that’s a different story.

Kyrou finishing his check twice so far this period. Thats what the team needs. Buch with 3 hits I think. Way to energize the team.

FYI I am not pointing my finger at him anymoresneptsmoustache wrote: ↑22 Apr 2025 21:37 pm
Also - Monty said it after the game. The difference in this series has been that their star players have made plays and ours haven't. I"m looking squarely at Thomas and Buchnevich--particularly Buchnevich--if I'm going to point the finger at anyone. One goal in 22 playoff career playoff games. And no one rocked him, He's just straight up not having an impact on the game. Scheiffle and Connor are.
