JFC how do you not lay off balls in the dirt even if they are breakers?

Ok.....THAT is the last time I’m going to watch Gorman hit with men on base.
That....was beyond pathetic!
2-0 and he swings at ball 3, 4, and 5!
And the last two were in the dirt.

Gorman has to be smart enough to know that Senga is not going to throw him a strike with a base open and Pozo ( a DP candidate ) on deck. How he waved at the same pitch three times is beyond me.

Just a terrible AB with Gorman. Second and third, one out and Senga threw him 5 balls and Gorman never came close to hitting anything. Every pitch was worse than the one before and he couldn’t help himself. Just flailed away.

Since I can only watch on TV and am not on the inside to know what is going on I can only guess.
My guess- unless he has some unknown issue with his vision I’d say he is just flat out stupid/stubborn?

The announcer said he asked Oli Marmol what he was going to do with Saggese when Winn returns. But I didn't hear him give Marmol's reply. What would you do with him? With his impressive hitting and fielding, he needs to stay in the lineup. He seems to do OK against RHP. #6 in the lineup seems about right for him at this point. But #2 may be coming.

well, there are certainly candidates to be sent down and him kept.
Baker, I'm looking at you.

Again...I am not on the inside so can only guess:
No.....he is not smart enough.
In fact it’s beginning to look like all he cares about is hitting 30 HR’s.
Ahead in the count 2-0 and figures he’ll get a meatball.
Guess what....a good pitcher is not going to throw you a strike if you prove they don’t have to.
He may think that 30 HR’s and 300 K’s is a good season?

He might think so. I don't he gets enough plate appearances. He might not get 300
