Cranny: why are you constantly challenging posters and acting like you have some personal stake in this forum? Go back to the beginning of this thread and look at your behavior. If you’d just MYOB and ignore things you don’t like, this would be a much better place and people wouldn’t be after you all the time. Chill out, dude. Quit acting like an old Grandma. If you truly are a bad asz combat vet, act like one. People love to poke the bear (you) because of how you overreact to things.

Some posters apparently have the time to search every thread and call out anyone who has a critical comment about DeTwit and Mo-ran'...and have appointed themselves as the 'keeper of the rules!' . They have decided to take over the Mods responsibilities and will argue with everyone..and they have to have the last word. And the behavior is not that if a supposed 'tough guy ' but as a whiney (buzz). I'm guessing I'll be reported again

Salient advice, Rojo. Will try my hardest to stay away from the posters who constantly bash everything in sight (ownership, front office, Oli, etc.) on an ongoing basis. And others who say things like "grow a sack" and "you're a F....... liar". Will leave those kind of posters up to you and the moderators to deal with and chastise, since they're a lot worse than I've ever been on here. Again, thank you for your advice. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Oh golly gee wiz. That’s not good is it Cranny? I had no idea that people having panic attacks when hearing swear words wasn’t limited to just you. Holy cow 8O

I’ll try to be more f**king careful
Holy [fork]!...did Baghdad Bob threaten you?😅

He did. Apparently he knocks peoples teeth out for vulgar language and I should look out for others that do the same. Including him.

Had no idea how much f**king danger I was in. Will do better. You can bet your a** on that
Had nothing to do with me, Banner. Just saying that your faux bravado and coarseness would get you into trouble if you ever went face to face with somebody. Calling someone a f—— liar in the real world has a lot difference results than cowardly behind the keyboard in the safety of Chez Banner. Of course you already know that.

And what makes you believe that I don’t call people f**king liars to their face, out of curiosity?

Also, what makes you believe that people hearing swear words in person will make them as much of a walking vagina as you when you read them on Cards talk?
If you really call people that to their face, Banner, then you have an even bigger problem. Get some help. Anger management counseling.

Swear words? Just the fact that it’s against posting rules, that’s all. On a multiple-generation forum.
You’re not in the fraternity house or at the neighborhood bar with buddies.

And you’re the only one on here that seems to care. Nobody else does and that clearly includes the Mods. No matter who does it. So you can do 1 or all of a few things

1. Grow up
2. Grow a sack
3. Stop stalking me
4. Find a rainbows and lollipops forum where you and your fellow non swearers can talk about more fun and safe things like lipstick shades and what not

Grow a sack, Banner? 10 times the size of yours, friend. With combat experience to prove it.

F**king liar
Get some counseling help, Banner. You truly need it.
Grow a sack
Banner, the other posters I'm sure don't want to read your trash. Plus, they don't have time for your garbage.
Best to move along for the benefit of all.

Other posters aren’t as soft as you. Grow a sack

No, Goldfan. I've said that going to younger guys who are up to date on the most sophisticated equipment and training
is a good idea. And it's overdue. That's not exactly "defending 2 guys".

This team could easily be 11-6 but, it's baseball, that's why they play 162. I don't think this is shocking, as the reason each of these guys is getting at bats is, they've shown in flashes--some longer than others--that they can put up numbers in MLB. Some guys like Pozo have been a surprise and some of these guys will come back to earth a little BUT... imo, the surprise isn't this year, it's the tragedy of 2024.

For whatever reason, and I hope it was a change in approach spurred by BB, they couldn't get a hit with RISP and especially the bases loaded last year to save their life. If I'm not mistaken, they were something like 1 for 40 with the bases loaded last year at some point.

I haven't heard any of the "look for my pitch and hit it as hard I can" insanity that we heard ad nauseum the last few years, so hopefully the change in approach is all it took, because that is sustainable.
The problem is the pitching. Was last year and will be this year. You've got Sonny Gray, maybe a young pitcher to step up and then a bunch of back of the rotation guys at best. No team looks at this rotation in fear. For good reason.

Looking forward to a possible future rotation of Pallante, Liberatore, Mathews, McGreevy, and Roby.

Pitching is very difficult to predict. I had basically written off Libby and Pallante as starters. Going back to 2017, MLB.com had Alacantara as our 6th best prospect and Gallen as our 24th best prospect.

Right, overdue. Almost makes one wonder what the leadership has been doing the last couple years since it wasn't this.

They prioritized building from within, rather than adding to the team through trades and free agency, but they didn't build out the infrastructure to develop players from within.
