Who cares about the MLB hall of fame i dont think he should be in the MLB hall of fame we are talking about the cardinals hall of fame and its insane to suggest a player who is a top 10 offensive player in franchise history shouldnt be in the cardinal of fame because he isnt in the MLB hall of fame its ridiculous he has the record for most homeruns hit at bush stadium 5th all time in franchise history in homeruns and stolen bases, 8th in runs and rbi 4th in walks only player in franchise history to be a 20-20 guy more than once and he did it 5 times as a centerfielder. Also an .840 career OPS1_12_1968 wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 11:25 amWho finished as high as 16th in the MVP one year. What a star. But there was that one time he made the all star team.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 10:01 amlol he has the record for most homeruns hit at bush stadium 5th all time in franchise history in homeruns and stolen bases, 8th in runs and rbi 4th in walks only player in franchise history to be a 20-20 guy more than once and he did it 5 times as a centerfielder. Yea it’s ridiculous to like one of the best offensive players ever in the franchise1_12_1968 wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 09:47 amTo put Walker and Lankford in the same sentence is completely disrespectful to Walker.ecleme22 wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 20:17 pmLet’s not forget Coors field affect too.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 15:53 pmAgain silly for you to say he should be punished for playing in the steroid era and not putting up steroid numbers and sure he could have used steroids and had a few 40-50 HR seasons then you would be all for it but he didn’t. And counting numbers are exactly why he should be in the cardinals hall of fame 5th all time in home runs 5th in stolen bases 9th in runs 10th in rbi 5 time 20-20 player in center field it’s absolutely dumb to say he shouldn’t be in cardinals hall of fame. Counting numbers are what get players into the halls of fame1_12_1968 wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 15:44 pmHe is in the top 10 of counting numbers. He did nothing of significance 1X all star that did not finish higher than 16th in the MVP race.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 13:51 pmHes in the top 10 or 20 of just about every offensive category in cardinals history yea I think a top 20 franchise player who played Center field should absolutely be in cardinals hall of fame it’s a no brainer. This isn’t the mlb hall of fame it’s cardinals hall of fame you compare him to other cardinals players hes top 10 or 20 in just about every offensive category1_12_1968 wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 13:43 pmThe 21st best player in MLB in 2024 was Jurickson Profar would you give him a red jacket?ecleme22 wrote: ↑03 Apr 2025 16:07 pmIt’s not the HOF. You know this, right?
Also is that the 21st best in all of baseball? An era when a big chunk of those guys were juicing?
Okay.
Learn baseball, Cletus.
Bichette and Walker owned two all star slots in the mid to late 90s
The love for Lankford on this board is ridiculous. There is a reason he gets little love on opening day from the crowd compared to the other guys.
Lankford became eligible for the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2010. 75% of the vote was necessary for induction, and 5% was necessary to stay on the ballot. He received zero votes, and will no longer be on the BBWAA ballot.

Re: Lance Lynn retires
NO KIDDING. Or Gibson.
Re: Lance Lynn retires
That's what I was getting at I guess. Cut Mikolas and sign Lynn for something small and he could probably do better than Mikolas with no Spring Training.

They wanted him as a reliever. He said no.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑03 Apr 2025 07:33 am Should the title be he’s forced to retire because no one wanted him?
