I added every prediction entered. The number of entries was 33 posters. I eliminated two out lists from the win side, 92-70, and 90-72, and two outliers from loss side, 59-103, and 62-100.

The average record was 80-82 for the coming season. First impressions.

76-86
Just don’t see improvement with the holdovers.
I hope that I am wrong.

I am a bit perplexed why the 90 and 92 win predictions were dismissed. The 59 & 62 wins were 24 wins and 21 wins less respectively than last year. So can understand outlier comment but 90 and 92 predictions were just 7 wins and 9 wins more than last year.. not a 20 + difference than the two low ones.
Just wondering why a prediction of 7 more wins gets eliminated.
Thanks !

77-85 -- I think with better coaching this group might flip that but Oli is worth about 8 extra losses.... and that might be generous.

That seems pretty fair imo.

That 76-86 you just came up with seems about right to me also.

I just don't see where the offense is coming from for an above .500 record. Frankly I don't see where the pitching is coming from either.

When I think of another losing season all that really bugs me is that we can't have another really early draft pick. That has been a lone bright spot these past two stinky seasons.

I am not a fan of all the complicated nonsense in the mlb draft. Reverse order of standings from the last season works just fine as a draft order. Unfortunately, I don't get a vote.

Chalk me up for 67-95. I think Gray and McGreevy will have very good years, but don’t see nearly enough production at the plate. I could see us sitting at the all-star break without a single 0.250+ hitter.

I just started a thread about which hitter on stl you would fear. I think you just answered it.

88-74 and a post season appearance.

It's spring. Beautiful weather. Optimism abounds. Plenty of time to get disgusted and cynical, though.

Yep, I hate it. Hated it long before we got lucky with the lottery this year and long before we’ll get penalized for it next year. It’s stupid to me that they messed with it the way they did and I hope they change it on the next CBA.
