#16 seed Cal has knocked off Miami and Wake Forest. They’ll be headed to the quarter finals to face one of the top 4. :D

Houston went 2 for 4 today for Wake Forest with 2 walks and 3 RBI
A&M kept their Postseason hopes alive...for another day. Winning their one and done game vs. Miss. State in the SEC tourney. LaViolette got a Hit...1-4, HR
That one HR was surely good enough to get Shady back on the train.

Baseball America didn't have Cal as a "Lock", "Should be in", nor "Work to do" list for the ACC. I'm guessing that Cal must win the Tourney outright, or maybe a slight chance if they make the Championship game and lose in close fashion?

Yea I am pretty sure they have to win the whole tourney to have any kind of chance.

RHP Kyson Witherspoon spun a gem leading OU to an upset of Georgia in the SEC Tourney. Georgia to the loser bracket.

Witherspoon ~ 7 2/3 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 0 BB, 8 K, 1 WP

I honestly like Witherspoon at 5 over Arnold, Doyle, and Anderson assuming they go college SP route.

He seems to have fewer questions or concerns than the lefties, IMO.
A safer pick perhaps.

What are you seeing?

it would be easy to love Witherspoon as a fan. Extremely passionate on the mound. He has an ace mentality. At least that's how he's carried himself with OU. He's fun to watch

Kyson Witherspoon RHP/OU is looked really good the other night vs Georgia. I wouldn’t be surprised by that pick at five.

my Top 5 wish list...as of now is :

1. RHP Seth Hernandez
2. SS Eli Willits
3. LHP Kade Anderson
4. RHP Kyson Witherspoon
5. OF Ike Irish

Yes, I'm warming to Mr. Irish...he's raking. He's not behind the plate and is focused solely on raking and corner OF.

I wouldn't be upset with Arnold, but like a few on here, he's not finishing with a flourish you'd expect. He still has the Post Season to shine. But you want more than 5 IP, and 5 K's from him if he's to crack my Top 5 again.

Gavin Kilen is still a favorite of mine, but I'm not seeing him at #5 at the moment.

I know Hernandez will likely not be there at #5, a shame for the Cards. He's FOTR starter for sure in 4-5 years.

I agree on top two. Hernandez has the highest ceilings of the pitchers. Willits on the offensive side. Yes there is a risk with high schoolers but that is where the highest rewards are at. Cards hopefully won’t get a shot at such elite talents in future drafts so get it now

Cardinals really need to luck out and have Hernandez available like they did last year with Wetherholt. Maybe the collegiate post season will catapult some into the top four making Hernandez available at #5.

my 3-5 allows for Underslot deals (especially Irish) , that then will let us go big with some tough HS signees later in the draft. Look at what the Marlins, Mariners, Brewers, Reds have done. They didn't sign all of them, but they went big with HS picks. Some of them are going to pan out.

JoJo Parker's twin brother Jacob could be target. CF out of Purvis High, MS. Better power than JoJo, but not as toolsy.

Indeed.
His stuff looks +. He hides the ball well and looks balanced and repeatable to me. He might be the closest to
MLB as a SP at the top of this draft needing less development compared to others, 100% opinionated.
