Oh no. Whatashame!
Plus he has Bellinger, Morel, Tauchman and Assad tonight. Michael Busch riding pine, where he belongs.

Also cool that he basically stole Carroll w/ SBs as his only major weakness and bought low on Seager.

Fun!

Acuna Jr left game with knee injury...fingers crossed for him
Oooch. Should I? (I will)

Is karma a thing? The manager with this player seemed to gloat when I lost Cole the day after the draft…

Fellas, you gonna let AOF start the league then lead most of the year and win the title???
He’ll be even more insufferable…..

Most of the year ain’t over yet… and you may be confused about who started the league + AOF’s ceiling for being insufferable.

Bah… it ain’t over til it’s over.

Looks like Fantasy Pros still projects you as #2 in the power rankings.

No idea why, but I just shot up from #11 to #4 overnight… I guess they figured out some of my players are good?

In a different league, losing Acuña immediately dropped me from #5 to #12; last place in their projections :? I’ve now lost my first round pick in every league I’m in for the rest of the season.

Gentlemen,
Been having issues attempting to respond/discuss to a recent trade offer. Declined without any comment as a result. But don't want any to think I have not given full consideration to any of them.

So a little color.

I have received several offers from no less than a few fellow owners. Most barking up the same tree.
I like it. I would love to also be in a position to snag a projected first rounder for pennies on the dollar. Not every offer has been pennies. Some have included slugs.

A crapshoot that has very little incentive to me at this stage. I need the dude to bounce back big or flip him for a few players with definable floors that net net may actually help me. Can't afford to speculate on any Johnny Come Lately's or dudes coming off a good week with little actual track record.

Much prefer to deal from a position of strength to fill a weakness. And like deals in which both owners are coming at it from that same perspective. Unfortunately I do not have any strengths at the moment. And not ready to punt one way the other quite yet.

What is the Price for a guy that you hope rebounds and gives you a seasons worth of stats in the next 110 games or whatever it is that is left in the season?

Essentially that is what you believe and hope to be acquiring. As cheaply as possible.

I will go down with that Ship.

The Price:
A Closer, Starter, or 2 Closers.
Need a bat in return. Ideally provides some SB, Runs, Avg, OBP.

But I will continue to give serious consideration to any and all offers on any of my players.

You have been doing pretty well thus far with Acuna underperforming in most categories.

Lot of season left. Stars yet to be determined. Just may have to work it a little harder. Truffle Hunt. Lol

Had a stretch a decade or more back where I lost 2 of my top 3 picks to injury in 3 successive seasons. Waino I am sure was in that mix and more than once. Hard to overcome and didn't finish in the money but did wind up in 3rd in one of those seasons.

Prospect and deal from strength.

But it ain't time for Crying. Crying won't help ya, praying won't do you no good. Prospecting will.

Could you explain how you are having ‘issues’? There is a comment section in every trade proposal. There is a league chat channel, and individual chat channel for each manager in the Yahoo fantasy app. There are PMs here, and this thread.

Really don't see the need to provide much further clarity.

Yet I will.

While attempting to respond to a fellow owner's trade offer and supporting commentary:

Had issues with the reply scrolling haphazardly as I attempted to add further comments to it. After a few failed attempts I simply rejected the trade.

Thought it would be nice to come in here and let him or others know that I did give it and other offers serious and determined consideration and wasn't simply dismissive of any offers received.

That sufficient for ya?

Yes. Was just wondering if I could help. Too bad we had similar communication breakdowns w/ two different players, or maybe you might have a strength. You could have taken me to the cleaners for Bogaerts early in the season… now out indefinitely, and basically useless when he was healthy.

Thought you preferred Semien.

I see DJ in your future. Lol

I was just curious to see if you were growing impatient with Julio. His production hasn’t been good but some of his peripherals stink, too.

Oh I did, and do prefer Semien. Offered you a premier 1B, your choice of closers, a league leader in SB + a starter, and it went nowhere… maybe you were having some kind of wild scrolling problem, but a lack of communication became highly frustrating.

Why, oh why do you still have LeMahieu? Are you related? Do you have a DJ tattoo? Are you allergic to sound advice?

Hah… just realized we both made essentially the same move to “replace” Acuña - JJ Bleday. Some replacement for our #1 overall pick, eh? FWIW - he actually has twice as many HRs, more RBI and a higher OPS than Acuña. Oh but it still hurts 😂
