You’re an idiot that thinks that prospect should just be skipped levels and when they do and struggle you’re the idiot that then says oh those precious yutes are overrated they suck and blah blah you’re a moron and will reverse horn opinion at the drop of the hat. By the way how did gray who you reversed your opinion on immediately after he was traded do today? He went from you saying he sucks was a waste of money to he’s great and the contract was fair as soon as he was traded lol and how is Contreras doing compared to the cardinals first baseman you’re the idiot who reversed opinions on him also as soon as he was traded lol
Talking about JJ….not some talentless Yutes
And again you think JJ wouldnt be doing what hes doing because 200 AAA AB’s??
Who knows you certainly don’t you’re just Monday morning quarterback crying which you excel at you are fantastic at whining after the fact. If they had called JJ up last season and he struggled you would be whining oh another overhyped yute lol it’s all you do figure out ways to whine and complain. Cards are 2-0 JJ doing well and can you be happy for once? Nope you have to Whine and complain about how he wasn’t called up
Last season hilarious
I don’t care about Clocks or service time or imagined necessity of the A’s. If the player has the talent and is ready he should be with the MLB team producing and winning. Period.
If you or anyone else here can’t see the difference in the hitter JJ is opposed to Gorman/Walker types you should just keep listening to Oli and his brilliance. ::crazya:: ::crazya::
Another instance where you are wrong.
One of many
It changes the convo. The first two games are in contradiction to everything Goldfan has said the entire offseason.

So he is now talking about this…
Yea last season he has to go to to be able to cry and whine lol but as soon as they lose he will have a new reason to cry and whine but for now he can’t be happy with cards winning let’s cry about last season it’s pretty pathetic. And he acts like he’s a true judge of talent by talking highly on JJ way to go out on a limb and taking a risk saying the number 5 prospect in baseball who scouts and executives rave about who They say could have been first in the draft if not for hamstring injuries is going to be good wow super impressive judge of talent
JJ batted LO opening day. They’re obviously not burying him. But Gold gets to argue they should’ve brought him up when the team was selling and the vibe was Arenado-esque. No to mention you rob a year of service time, and maybe he ending the 2025 season on not a high note.

Nah, Gold sees the talent and energy of this team. He’s just trying to save face.
What am I saving face about?. I hope the team wins every game.
I’ve been pointing out every screwed up MO move since 2019 and I don’t think it can be disputed given bottom rung state that he left it and the huge drop in fan support.
My JJ call last season and my Baez call this season got the same Poo Poo you don’t know anything comedy that when I trashed the Carp extension, Yadi/Waino charity contracts, Oli hiring, saying TO and Bader aren’t very good, and on and on. Conveniently forgotten that Gold was right on all those.
So this is nothing new with ya’ll not being able to see what going on right in front of you in real time.
Again we’ll watch Baez….see how that one turns out
lol you definitely don’t want the cards to win every game then you would have to really dig deep to cry and whine about. Cards are 2-0 JJ doing well and are you happy? Nope you start crying about them not calling up JJ last season. JJ doing well proves the front office handled him perfectly
No I’m just proving the point that you idiots wouldn’t know what baseball talent is……..if you were sitting in the dugout on Oli’s lap….blind leading the blind.
That’s strong Goldie. That’s a large collection of people. First to be deemed a second class citizen, followed up with lack of knowledge.

I respond with a level of seriousness and a touch of embedded wit, just for chits and grins. I expect the same in return.

Today Wetherholt was the ONLY Cardinal player to get 5 plate appearances with his at bat in the 10th.

From the leadoff, he got on 1st , stole 2nd , and scored from 3rd in the 1st inning. Then got the 2 RBI runs to walk off the game winner.
While there is discussions on clean up 4th spot, Oli has JJ slotted for maximum plate appearances for the season at leadoff.
Keep him at No. 1.
Yes agree but honestly right now who else? When and if Noot comes back and assuming he can play at historical levels we may have to talk about it.
Def like JJ plan A, but for plan B, Noot might not be a bad idea. At times his OBP has been extremely high, obviously needs to be healthy.
Great thread with lots of good dialogue.
JJ at LO could certainly work but as he figures to be great with RISP you could of course argue moving him into a better RBI position?
I thought of Noot also. When he comes back(assuming he isn’t traded) where would he best slot in?
He seems to do better at LO as he is shaky hitting with RISP.
Time will tell.
Noot is out til June…..why worry about him when a 1/3 of the season will be gone. Play talent NOW where it should be. Don’t give away games
Where did I say I was “worried” about Noot?
And what’s it to you? Having a nice conversation with other posters.
BTW....you seem to have developed quite a following? 😢
Why do you care more about POSTERS than talking about BASEBALL??
Your posts critiquing me, Mel, others….having absolutely nothing to do with game seems very odd….do you think others care about your personal characterizations on a BASEBALL SITE?
We don’t like each other!
Now....I just AGREE with the OTHER 90% of CT that has you labeled for what you are.
Have a nice day!! 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

Hey cuse goldfan is a great judge of talent he saw JJ the number 5 prospect in all of baseball who scouts and executives raved about as a good prospect when only every one else said the same thing. Of course that great judge of talent said O’Neil gray and Contreras sucked and were terrible when the cardinals had them and the cardinals were stupid for keeping them but as soon as they were traded that great judge of talent shifted his opinion .180 and decided they were in fact good and talented and the cardinals were stupid for getting rid of them
