I’ve been to Spring Training many times, and there are more reasons St. Louisans go down to Jupiter than baseball. It’s to get out of the drab cold weather and spend some time in the sun, play some golf, hit the beach for awhile, and especially enjoy fresh seafood at one of the outstanding area restaurants. There are probably more reasons than the Cardinals rebuild if not as many people go this year. Perhaps inflation has taken a real bite of discretionary income.

Hand wringing over attendance...do you have stock in owning the Cards?
6871 is capacity. They drew about 55 percent of that. On a cool weekday.
Before spring break.
I’d say they are on glide path to 5 K reasonably.
Why does that only affect the Cardinals?
It doesn’t. Are you saying every other venue but STL is over 55 percent full daily?
If the attendance elsewhere is higher by percent, you have a good point. If the ratio is similar, then I stand on more people will show during spring breaks.
If 55 percent is the daily take, that’s about 26,000 at STL. On a cold midweek game. There’s room for improvement.
I'm in Section 148..a lot of us are expecting to see a few more empty seats in our Section.. and we won't have Mo-ran to boo!

the inflation rate for 24...2.9
the inflation rate for 25...2.7
the inflation rate for 26 thus far 2.4
it's a bad team with dismal expectations.....why bother??

Team could be a young, exciting group.

I’ve been about 15 times, Red. How many times have you been to Jupiter?

Jupiter once and St. Pete years ago. I enjoyed it both times but didn't care the $100 ticket price and $10 beer price in Jupiter. But the place was sold out both games I saw in Jupiter. Cranny, I think even you have to admit until this team can showcase a star and a winning team they will not draw at today's prices, whether in spring training or regular season. Are you going down this year? I believe you missed last year.
I also noticed you didn't answer my question.

I didn’t answer your question because it didn’t have anything to do with baseball and/or the Cardinals. And found it rather odd why a fan who’s only been to Jupiter once would ask a question of another fan who’s been there 15 times if he was going this year after not going last year. Really bizarre and off topic. What was your intent?

Attendance at Roger Dean Stadium today was 4,717. Other than JJ's homer not too much to get excited about.
