Bulldog: remember George Hendrick, and how he'd get his back foot on top of...and even a little outside the back line of the batter's box? Apparently he thought that extra few inches helped.

He's the only example I can think of off-hand, but he can't/couldn't be the only one.

A little off topic: I remember Mike Shannon saying on the broadcast once that "Silent George" talked to him. And Jack Buck answered the Hendrick talked to him to....just not for interviews. :)
LOL. Kicking the chalk off the back line of the box is the first thing hitters do.

The second hitters start appreciating the game again and learning that there’s more to baseball than being able to stare at your long ball for 15 minutes and doing a whole bunch of odd hand signals and dances to your own dugout before finally taking your cocky jog around the bases 30 times a season is the day we can put to rest how to make the game easier for hitters and more entertaining for the fans
Did Jeffrey "one flap down" Leonard change the game.

I wouldn’t say changed the game or even had an impact; but it was entertaining unless against us. I remember.

Heres a question. If you move the mound back any distance, but lets us the extreme, three feet. Don’t you also have to raise the mound slightly. Or would it not change.

The board seems to reflect a solid no, about a 65/35 split. Again, merely an attempt to add offense.

See my previous post.

You wouldn't have to do anything - but if you insisted on keeping the angles the same, you'd only have to raise it 3 inches.
