Chaim is running the train back down a pitching track and it will pay off in the medium to long run.

2 losing seasons out of the last 12. 3 total losing seasons this century. Shamefully awful, right?
Anybody who paid attention could tell this team was on a downward trajectory from 2013 on. Mo made 3 good trades his entire tenure: Lackey, Goldschmidt and Arenado. The rest of his tenure is stained with terrible FA signings/trades, incompetent management and half-measures to compete for a wild card spot. The guy literally said that his strategy was to sneak into a wild card and hope they get hot. That is beyond pathetic.
But I will allow to be corrected. Where is the quote "sneak into the wild card"?
"Get into the playoffs" is the quote that I remember. Nothing wrong with that quote
until people dissect it and make assumptions. Cashman says it.
IMO that's better than todays
"be competitive" whatever that means.
Pretty strong stretch of baseball from 2009-2015 to be colored as bad.

as directed, or not meeting expectations.
I think he probably did that first 2 well. The third, I believe that a strong case could
be made well before 2025 and starting around 2016. IMO he was on a stretch of
misses. Total opinion, I hear we all have one.

How do you think Chiam Bloom will be received this year ?

I think in Section 148 it will positive overall...Mo-ran (upset) the fanbase but Cards fan, in general, will be willing to give him a fair chance...hopefully the few remaining front office (donkey) kissers will finally S[top] T[hose] F[raudulent] U[tterances].Cardinals1964 wrote: β24 Jan 2026 05:11 amStanding O.ramfandan wrote: β23 Jan 2026 04:51 am The last couple years Mo had quite a few boo birds greet his introduction. Opening day at Busch Stadium is purported to be the most impressive opening day in MLB. Fans cheer as the Clydesdales come out of the gate in right field and circle the stadium. Fans cheer as the Cardinals Hall of Famers are introduced as they come out of the dugout. And fans cheer as each car pulls up near home plate, a manager, coach, and player gets out of the car and shakes the hands of the Cardinal brass, the Hall of Famers, and each player that has been introduced before them.ramfandan wrote: β23 Jan 2026 04:51 am The last couple years Mo had quite a few boo birds greet his introduction. The ceremony lasts for a good half hour. If there is any booing, it's only a very small part of the overall ceremony and festivities.

I'd be with you on the JJW enthusiasm but I am tempered by the belief that the Dodgers poach him in 5 years.
The Cardinals will not swim in $50M+ AAV waters and will struggle to keep their home grown stars. Financial disparities and competitive imbalances have to get fixed for the sake of mid and small market teams. I expect Cardinal ownership to lead MLB owners here.
But the players and coaches will always get my best support.
As for Bloom, I would stand and give him a slow, Show Me (skeptical) clap. Ditto for the Dewitt's except slower.

I think most everyone acknowledges that Bloom was dealt a pretty chitty hand. I suspect he will received warmly as he begins to write his Cardinals story. He appears to have a plan, to communicate that plan, start to implement it. Heβs replenishing the Cards MiLB system while reworking an MLB roster that was short on pitching.ramfandan wrote: β23 Jan 2026 04:51 am The last couple years Mo had quite a few boo birds greet his introduction. Heβs been given the latitude to build up the system and develop players. Heβs interested in consistent success over the long run. Exciting to see. Heβs now got plenty of arms coming. Position players are next.BrockFloodMaris wrote: β24 Jan 2026 18:01 pmI think most everyone acknowledges that Bloom was dealt a pretty chitty hand. I agree...I'm in Section 148 and Mo-ran got boo-ed pretty well on Opening day last year...most people were good natured about the boos except one old guy who kept yelling at everyone...I'm betting this year it will be subdued..BrockFloodMaris wrote: β24 Jan 2026 18:01 pmI think most everyone acknowledges that Bloom was dealt a pretty chitty hand. The amount of Pinocchio going on in here is disturbing.
Mozeliak was booed loudly last opening day. So loud that BDW2 started to laugh.

He was....in Section 148 people were booing and laughing ..mostly good natured but the fanbase is/was (upset). To deny that is just sad and pathetic.
