Post by Harry York 37 »

The hit wasn't the issue... it was fairly soft.
It was Stone's deliberate lifting of his left leg. NOBODY does that when they are heading into the boards while finishing a check. His only purposefor that crazy move is to prevent Broberg from getting his legs under him as he falls.
He uses his left knee to raise Brioberg's hips and render him into a free fall situation.

It was dirty as hell.

Some people read too much when they oughta be thinking like a Pro Hockey Player.
Reading, for trolls, is easy. Thinking like an actual hockey player in a checking league is ... impossible for trolls.

He undercut him for sure and knew exactly what he was doing...he's a pro at it.

That didn’t happen though. You can’t be that hockey dumb to think it did. Stones left skat hit the boards. Momentum took Broberg’s feet out. For a guy who claims you played and understand the sport….you really struggle with basics…like physics

You saw what you wanted to see 'cause Stone. It was a garden variety check.

Broberg on the ice today.
this is good news, means the concussion was light or it was all precautionary. He's basically on the 5 day clear to play minimum timeline. You have to register 3 days of active workout without getting symptoms before you can be back with the team. Hopefully everything continues to progress on time for him. He has to be feeling a tremendous amount of pressure and angst at the moment. He is now seen as a core player that has to deliver for this Blues team to ever be successful over this year and the next 6 seasons. As well as he wants to represent his country in a few weeks.

Such a soft hit. Broberg better toughen and smarten up or he won’t last long. Teams aren’t even bringing their A games for the Blues at this point

At this stage of his development and the team's standing they need to be cautious. They should not let him feel any pressure.

I observed what was easily apparent.
Why does Stone raise his left knee as he hits the boards?
Who does that?
Why would Stone choose to do that?
The hit was not that hard. He practically cradled Broberg to ensure the fall and watched it all the way down.
It was masterful.

His left skate hits the boards. Did you miss that?

Do you understand basic physics in that Broberg’s upper body faced resistance, while his lower body did not face the same resistance while in motion? What happens to a persons legs in motion if their upper body faces resistance?

Not the best video, but shows the point. Sure as hell looks like Stone lifted his left leg with the intent of slewing him.

Here's a still showing exactly where Stone's left leg was. His knee was dug into Broberg's right thigh. In the video you then see Stone's left arm pushing him down, akin to more of a wrestling move than a hockey play. Broberg's right leg then was unable to stay under him. I'm surprised he wasn't hurt more than he was.

Anything other than seeing this as a slew foot is exactly what it is: trolling.

This is a dirty play every day of the week. If he keeps his leg down, he could have had the same result: Broberg stapled to the boards, without the concussion.

Until someone does something like that to Marner or Eichel, nothing will change.

Calling people names when you don’t even understand a term.

The NHL is trolling you

That’s kinda funny

You got it all right....and broke it down clearly.
Thank you.

I don't recall calling anyone any names. I was addressing the behavior: If you see that move as anything but a slew foot, you're trolling. If that remark applies to you and you're upset about it, which it does seem like you are then that's on you, not me. I can't control how others react to what I say.

Taking your comment at face value, I much rather be trolled by the NHL than you, for sure. They are much more complete and honestly, a lot more entertaining than your trolling. You need to up your troll game if you want to truly succeed and be effective at it. Let me know if you need any pointers.

I will say that I did my own analysis, which I have not seen you accurately provide.

I clearly broke it down. His left foot hit the boards and his knee had nothing to do with the outcome. It’s all simple physics and video shows that. The NHL didn’t even look at it, as they shouldn’t.

The real issue s Broberg’s lack of awareness and preparation for what happened. He’s going to get badly hurt by the Apex predators unless he improves in those areas.

Focusing on Stone is as weak as that soft cancel out was….wasnt even a hit really
