Joel and Shady aren't the same person. Not in a million years could Joel refrain from calling someone "fella" when angered. Joel has a very distinct writing style and word usage that Shady does not follow - these are things that would have slipped/shown up. Also, there's no way Joel could keep his ego in check this long to stay hiding, even knowing that spilling the beans would get him banned.
