I know weed is legal in Mo, but maybe take the night off. This team couldn’t make the tournament with the Knicks lineup if Gates was coaching them. You can struggle to score, but play tough defense and rebound the ball. We do none of these things.

Mizzou is embarrassing themselves, outclassed by Illinois in every aspect of the game including coaching. Mitchell may be the most overrated player in the country, Boating and Mack should be playing for a mid major, Phillips is inept against players of equal size. etc. Mizzou fans are stuck in a perennial loop of well, maybe next year or the next, ad infinitum, not even able to keep their 'best' players on the court. Gates isn't developing anything here except mediocrity. His biggest skill seems to be recruiting 'highly rated' players we never see on the court.

Among other shortcomings this team has a very low basketball IQ and I don't see Gates being able to coach them up. I thought that going into this year that they were a borderline tournament team unfortunately that tournament will probably be the nit.

We just are not a good team. Harsh reality is we played no one and when we do, we poop the bed. Boateng needs more development and can get that at a smaller D1 school. He should transfer to Little Rock. Crews disappears in big games. When he became a leader scorer for us, I knew right then that we were not good. Gates runs lineups that have no business being on the court. We just don’t look good. Hopefully, we can get our act together and come out and do something in SEC play.

Why are Missouri freshmen never any good? Look at the Wagler kid for Illinois. Other programs get highly recruited freshmen who step right in. Makes me wonder whether anyone in the incoming top class will actually be that good or will fulfill their potential due to bad coaching.
