Now that is a stupid comment.
All teams are stuck with several players. Contract wise. Both time and money. I’d think all have players others don’t want.
That's why this thread should be mocked. Hence the use of the word insightfulsikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 07:36 amAll teams are stuck with several players. Contract wise. Both time and money. I’d think all have players others don’t want.
I understand. The thread was constructed very simply. I’d expect it will drive the direction in which it is received.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 07:46 amThat's why this thread should be mocked. It’s a very complain-y whine-y OP based on zero evidence.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 07:53 amI understand. The thread was constructed very simply. As for mocking, you know me, I’ll do it in jest, in lyrics. Saves me unnecessary jargon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
It’s a good example of a thread constructed on a mere random thought. It works.ecleme22 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 08:00 amIt’s a very complain-y whine-y OP based on zero evidence.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 07:53 amI understand. Now, if the OP made it all about Arenado, he could have a point and open up an interesting convo.
But he’s just pouting Bloom made not trades at the winter meetings. But of course that doesn’t mean “no teams want cards players boo hoo.”

15+ teams after Donny
6+ teams reportedly after JoJo
WillyC drawing attention, even an injured Noot
Gray already gone

I for one am glad C. Bloom is taking his time, sticking to his trade demands and not rushing a trade just to quiet some disgruntled fans.
I get that fans have questions and want action.
But....it is December 15th after all.
And....I get the excitement over the Winter Meetings which can be the start of trading frenzy but every year is different.
Sometimes the “Market” just takes more time to develop and again it is early.
So far I’m optimistic about what Bloom has done. But just getting started.
I really like the May signing and BTW I’m not predicting anything as to him performing.
I just like his stuff and only committing to a one year deal!
The trades will come but Bloom isn't going to take just any offer, he's rightfully holding all the cards (bad pun) and he knows it.
Patience is the key, stay cool & let other POBO/GM's get antsy to satisfy their screaming for trades fan bases.
And I’ve been chuckling over all the angst concerning the Winter Meetings.
What teams actually did much of anything?
Look...I get the frustration. 3 years missing the post season from an organization that has prided itself in competing on a yearly basis!rockondlouie wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 08:55 amDittoCusecards wrote: ↑15 Dec 2025 14:44 pmYesrockondlouie wrote: ↑15 Dec 2025 13:32 pmI'm a big fan of the D. I've done that many times too cuse, even after the TV show "jumped the shark".Cusecards wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 09:05 amLook...I get the frustration. I’m a sports fan and I root passionately for many other teams in many other sports.
But I still try to keep it as entertainment.
Refuse to let it make me miserable.
Here’s an analogy Rock:
*You’re a long time fan of a TV show.
*Recently the show has gone down hill in quality.
*If you can still enjoy the show...fine. But would you keep watching if it made you miserable?
And yes....It was time for a FO change. We got that!
To me MO is an afterthought.

I bleed Cardinals red come he ll or high water and put my money where my mouth is w/season tixs for over a decade.
I can relate.Goldfan wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 09:24 am This is MO…..so show me
There was player movement at Winter Meetings…..none of the Cards “Highly Sought After On Fire” names moved….
So what else do we have to go on.
Ya’ll read notes from scribes who we know get fed propaganda from the top and you believe like it like it’s gospel….
You believe “reporters”…..some of us believe what we see
If I’m a team and I really WANT Donny….I give Bloom the offer I know will land him so no other team gets him. From that point the “On Fire” level degrades to puffs of smoke.
