It shouldn't be too hard to convince players to leave a sinking ship for a contending team...BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 13:52 pmEasy to say when it's not your money. In my opinion spending to the cap limit with a plan to compete in the playoffs only to get a lottery pick is worse. On top of that if they do plan to tank they need to talk everybody into waiving a no movement clause... Good luck with that.Jeff Goldblum wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 13:39 pmTanking on purposeBalotelliMassive wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 13:35 pmWhat's worse...tanking while trying to get into the playoffs or tanking on purpose?
Who's next up....Jim Campbell?

Re: Fabbri returns
It's not tanking "on purpose"..it's just sitting back and allowing it to happen...in hopes of making the team better in the future.Jeff Goldblum wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 13:56 pmIn my opinion, tanking in purpose is worse.BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 13:52 pmEasy to say when it's not your money. It must really irk you to see them win 2 in a row huh?son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 13:49 pm It's hilarious...we win a couple games out of luck or because the goalie stood on his head, while being badly outshot, and everyone suddenly thinks we are good enough to get in the playoffs, only have to have reality bite them in the butt a few days later.
Were you sitting there hoping for the loss last night?
Sure you were foolsgold...and btw....you couldn't have picked a better handle for yourself.

Re: Fabbri returns
I don't "hope" for losses...but at this point, i don't mind them, because wins do not help the team in the long run. As regards handles, you ought to change yours to "dasux" that would be more appropriate...dhsux wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 15:40 pmIt must really irk you to see them win 2 in a row huh?son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 13:49 pm It's hilarious...we win a couple games out of luck or because the goalie stood on his head, while being badly outshot, and everyone suddenly thinks we are good enough to get in the playoffs, only have to have reality bite them in the butt a few days later.

Re: Fabbri returns
It's fun seeing my team compete for a playoff spot but I know they have too many holes to be a serious contender - missing out on a highly rated draft would suck eggs because that's the best way to get talent in this league...nobody legit hits free agency these days.
Re: Fabbri returns
Maybe not for Kaskimaki, but yes ahead of Luff & McGing.smilinjoefission wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 12:13 pm Given the choice between him or Luff, McGing, Kaskimaki...I go with Fabbri.
And for everyone else: It's a two way contract. We have a few regulars injured, whether you do not like all of those injured or not, they still are part of the regulars we have. We could use him to get through those injured. And even if we cannot, or decide not to, Springfield needs and could use Fabbri to fill for the others that are in development there. The Blues take priority, but Springfield needs to be viable team as well.
It's not a contract to get excited about nor distracted one way or the other.

Hope I am wrong, and not trying to jinx him, but you know it is just a matter of time till Sunny hits the injured list.Old_Goat wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 18:01 pmMaybe not for Kaskimaki, but yes ahead of Luff & McGing.smilinjoefission wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 12:13 pm Given the choice between him or Luff, McGing, Kaskimaki...I go with Fabbri.

Re: Fabbri returns
I did not see a pop up on this move! I read til the end and I still don’t see April’s Fools! So we really get # 15 back! Fan favorite. I hope he can fly around the ice and get some of our dead weight moving again

4th line is rough.
Don't know that I like breaking up Broberg/Fowler and I'm sure I don't like stapling Mailloux to Tucker.
Re: Fabbri returns
Mathieu Joseph in the Top 6. What has happened to this roster

Re: Fabbri returns
Holy S at the ghost of Fabbri being penciled into the lineup. Is Springfield that friggin bad?
Re: Fabbri returns
He's been a lot better this year than he was last year, but he's still only pacing for 26 points.
He shouldn't be in the top 9.
But that's what happens when half your forwards are injured.
