If Winn Walker and Scott hit for league average, combined with JJ Herrera and Donovans replacement, would the Cardinals be

- below .500
- .500
-or above .500.

My thought is, if these guys improve, isn’t that the same as old prospects blossoming. Just took time and right environment.

Then the adding of two studs aces, and a big bat, would make them formidable.

If these guys don’t produce, then the job to over haul is immense.

Thought.
Scott will never hit for league average.
I disagree. With his speed, he will learn to best utilize it. If he hits more, just singles, we have a shot at a double by results. That’s a bonus.

This is a weapon I’d spend organized time trying to perfect.
He’s not going to. I will bet money on it.

I know. You have been steadfast. I only need him to get to .245. Heck I’m not asking for the moon. And again you are correct, that if, you can’t hit .245, the glove, no matter how good, has a hard time playing.

Like Walker, if he can’t do it at AAA then why bother trying and to convince he can against the best of the best?

I hope he turns it around and can be even 90wrc+ hitter. I think he’ll be 25 in 2026. He’s young but not a kid. He won’t get any faster. I didn’t care for Bader but Bader was a better player at same age imo.
