Hey guys, that guy standing in the corner all alone? How about guarding him.

Tigers with 16 turnovers, shooting 35% from the line.

Most impressive newcomer, other than Phillips, is Stone. Mack, not much of a shooter.

The good:
Won on the road by 21.
Scored 88 despite missing 11 free throws, committing 16 turnovers, had an off game for our 2 best players (Robinson and Mitchell), and we were missing 2 key players.

I think we’re going to put up points.

The bad:
We don’t guard the 3 point line very well in man to man. Allowed them to stay in it shooting the 3.

That’s about it. Hope we get Pierce and Boateng back, have some home games and hopefully get really rolling. Still hard to tell exactly how good we are but we should be pretty (bleep) good.

Harris and Cotton from Howard are players, they can fill it up.

Still can't make free throws and still can't guard the perimeter .

Same as last year.

We play Bethune Cookman in December. They lost at Auburn in OT 95-90 last night.

The experiment of Kelly & Gervino sitting in the student section was a fail.It was very hard to hear them, but I believe Mike said Boateng has a knee sprain. Couldn't understand what Pierce's injury was.
It does sound like we don't have anyone shy about putting it up. If they can hit 50+% go for it!
FT 10/21 Yuck!
FG 34/61 55.7% Yey!

Mack's shooting motion is ugly. He needs to unlearn that and copy Stone's. Smooth as silk. Stone could be instant offense off the bench from 3.

Mack shot an air ball from the free throw line that missed the rim by almost a foot. I can honestly say in all my years playing ball I never shot an air ball from the free throw line from probably 6th grade on, and I only played through high school. Granted I was a good shooter. But a D1 high major player, especially a guard, should never shoot an air ball from the line. If he ends up 70% from the foul line this year we can chalk it up to a weird anomaly, but as of now he doesn’t look like a shooter to me.

Edit: I had to know so I looked up his FT% before getting here and he’s well over 70%. So maybe it was a weird thing. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
