No kidding. They let one guy make all the difference. Not saying Cards would’ve won but it would’ve actually been competitive.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 09:28 amCards should have done that with Big PED Popper Ortiz during the WS
And whatever happened to that big “investigation” he was going to launch after he got busted juicing?

Wouldn't they have to investigate the Red Sox opponents also.CorneliusWolfe wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 10:52 amNo kidding. They let one guy make all the difference. Re: Ohtani--WOW!
The deal is better than most think. The Dodgers sold broadcast media rights to a Tokyo company for big $$$ and the royalties of all the
Dodger swag sold in Japan is enormous recouping most if not all his contract cost.

Re: Ohtani--WOW!
Probably. But I wasn’t talking about MLB or some outside source. He was saying he was going to have his own big private investigation and expose some kind of conspiracy [nonsense] against him. Better than the Braun approach I guess.makesnosense wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 13:18 pmWouldn't they have to investigate the Red Sox opponents also.CorneliusWolfe wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 10:52 amNo kidding. Re: Ohtani--WOW!
What made 3 of last nights walks so rare is that for 3 of the 4 times, the Jays were putting the winning run on 1st base ( in 9th, 13th, and 15th).. as Jake Peavy stated on MLB Now show that is ‘a real no-no’ I’m baseball to put the winning run on intentionally Eith the bases empty.
In 13th, the winning run was on 3rd with 2 outs so that is different.
Ohtani was not the winning run in that case.
During innings 1 thru 8 is different too as it would be thr ‘lead’ run being walked but the winning run 4 times — wow! Very gutsy especially with Betts and Freeman to follow.
Re: Ohtani--WOW!
Peavy is probably applying 2005 sensibilities to today’s game. With all the strikeouts it’s not much of a no-no. Bases loaded with no outs isn’t even that big a deal anymore.

Re: Ohtani--WOW!
It’s not a no no it’s a dumb take from peavy from as far back as I’ve been watching baseball they’ve always said there’s guys in the lineup that you can’t let beat you Ohtani is that guy if they pitch to him in the 9th 13th and 15th and he hits his third home run to walk it off they would be calling for him to be fired and rightfully soramfandan wrote: ↑28 Oct 2025 15:44 pm
