2023...Cubs selected 3B Matt Shaw, 13th overall. Cards selected ground and pound specialist, Chase Davis, 21st overall. Shaw manning 3B for the Cubs this year. 2024.... Cubs selected 3B, Cam Smith...14th overall. Cards selected SS/2B JJ Wetherholt, 7th overall. Smith trade to Houston, started season with the Stros at 3B...rather good start before going cold the rest of the way...680 OPS in 400ish AB's.
