I was just going to mention that. You can see that he's not at this level by his play in this game compared to the other Blues. Just needs a little more seasoning. He's going to be a good one.

I’ve always appreciated Chris Kerber’s energy and storytelling on radio—he’s been a staple of Blues hockey for years, and his chemistry with Joey Vitale is solid enough. Personally, I prefer Rivers in the booth. That said, the transition to TV coverage has been rough.

Kerbs has been off-topic during key moments, missing goal calls or reacting late—and that kills the broadcast. On radio, that style works. On TV, it doesn’t. Viewers need tight, real-time commentary that matches the pace of the game.

Preseason or not, he needs to step it up. He’s no longer just the radio guy. You can’t skate by on the same old habits. New format, new expectations. Step up, Kerbs. You can do it.

Joseph is a tad over his head on the Schemn Neighbours line I love his hustle but he doesn't have the offensive touch he's more of a 4th liner

Ok good because I’m tripping balls while I watch blues hawks on the last Saturday in September. It’s making things stand out. We are going to have real Blues Hawks back in not distant future that’s going to be enjoyable

Moore looks really good. Bad, dangerous hit by Dach. Should have been a penalty. Can’t stick your leg out like that.

Even though the game meant nothing that was very disappointing to watch the team fold in the third period

Too much lacidaisical play

Agreed, giving up 3 to the hawk in the 3rd of a preseason game was disappointing. Nonetheless, I'm more excited for this season than I've been for a long time.

I was getting ready to say that Binner was the difference in the game. And then came the 3rd period to put an exclamation point on it.

Good:
- Mailloux hit and fight
- Snuggeruud and Carboneau urgency and toughness
- Blues Penalty Kill
- Fowler as always
- Dvorsky showed a bit of impact, but not enough to make the team IMO.

Bad:
- Blues Powerplay
- Blues best players did not impress (except Binnington and Fowler)
- This game does not indicate a strong start to the season.

Ugly:
- What was the purpose of the Parayko actions after the Sunny hit?
- Blues Mgmt telling us that Jiricek is the next Petro. That smacks of smoke being blown...

So you didn’t like it earlier and complained when DA didn’t talk up our prospects, and now you don’t like it and complain when management does. Which is it?

I've stated several times on this board that Jiricek looks like Petro out there. I thought that when I watched him in the WJC this past winter.

Parayko went after the guy who stuck his leg out to make leg-on-leg contact on Sunny.
