#1 task.
Do as I have analyzed.
Melville, please rehash that.
He wanted to dump the light hitting Herrera who he said has no power and make sure the sub .700 ops power hitting Gorman is the middle of the order bat for years to come
Herrera has exceeded expectation - including yours.
He also has 5 weeks of "power" in 4 seasons.
Don't fall victim to Carpenter Syndrome just yet.
Fine to be optimistic.
But not wise to jump too soon to potentially faulty projections.
unicorn ?
No, Herrera has had 5 good "power weeks" this season - which is also his career total over 4 years.
Not a unicorn.

Bloom's to do list:
1. Disinfect all things John Mozeliak.
2. Fix the roster.
3. Decide what to do with Marmol and crew.
4. Convince fans to return.
5. Remember to feed Girsch.
#3 should be fire Marmol and crew. Other than that, you’re spot-on, Juan.
Correct. And you won’t be able to get 4 without doing 3
Exactly! This fan base has “Mozo & Oli Fatigue”. The DeWitts better pay attention and get rid of BOTH, otherwise they’ll lose even more revenue.
1) Reassign Oli
2) Hire a manager from outside the org.
3) Negotiate the waving of NTCs
1). NOPE. Fire Oli. If he was such a “great teacher”, why are most of the Cardinal “can’t miss” prospects so bad, and so absent of smart fundamentals? This organization needs a deep flush. Not only Oli, but Randy Flores and a lot of the coaches and talent evaluators. Most of them are really bad at their jobs.

Good point, BFM. DeWitt may not let him — and that would be tone deaf on DeWitt’s part. But I wouldn’t be surprised if we are stuck with Oily Oli for another season.

IMO that WOULD be tone deaf on DeWitt's part.
I don't think DeWitt cares.
A$$e$ in the seats is all he cares about.
Guess he doesn't know that people come out to see a good product.

The Cardinals are not an MLB team seeking to contend.
They are not an MLB team with a marketing department.
They are a marketing company with a small baseball department.

The seats are empty because fans have finally grasped that which I was first and best to understand and explain several years ago:
They Cardinals are a large marketing company with a small baseball department.
It took a while, but that which I analyzed with perfection long ago is now currently widely realized.
Which is why I have long recommended:
Keep learning.

There's some possibility that he stays.
In that event would stronger personalities help in the dugout?
Varitek and a pitching coach that understands pitch sequencing.
Yadi was as good as any with that so maybe him or Varitek.

Find short term pitchers.
Either a Kyle Gibson or a take a chance on a struggling pitcher to bounce back.
Maybe Quintana for starters.
