Preposterous.... This team acts like they have speed? They are a train wreck on the bases, all year long!

Oli picked the wrong time and player to use that play. Arenado does not make contact enough, and your runners at first and third are not speedy.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:12 pm There's the aggressive running CT has been clamoring for

Devils advocate. We may not get two on the rear of the year.12xu wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:16 pmOli picked the wrong time and player to use that play. Arenado for all his faults doesn't K much. Of course, he Ks with the runner in motion on 3-2.slimjay63801 wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:15 pm Preposterous.... This team acts like they have speed? They are a train wreck on the bases, all year long!

There are no "right" combos. That's the point. The talent isn't there12xu wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:16 pmOli picked the wrong time and player to use that play. Bad decisions, base coaches, etc. It's hard to win games against great teams when you do not play fundamentally sound baseball. Pitching is decent enough so far but 2 runs will not be enough..
For his career, Arenado's K rate with a full count is 21%icon wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:20 pmNolan's K rate is 10%.12xu wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:16 pmOli picked the wrong time and player to use that play. Not many with this roster, correct. But, for example, if you have a contact hitter such as Donovan at the plate with a full count, Nootbaar at first, and Scott at third, that play stands a better chance at working.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:23 pmThere are no "right" combos.
