Who was "sold for prospects"? The Cardinals traded 3 good veterans for prospects. Same thing the pirates do all the time. They sold a future star. Not even the pirates do that.alw80 wrote: ↑16 Sep 2025 05:48 amThat was just Mo being bad at roster management. The Cardinals sold vets who didn't have a future here for some prospects because they were out of contention. That's actually prudent. The Pirates sell young players before they have to pay them because they don't want to pay them. Mo traded Garcia for cash considerations because he's bad at his job. And it wasn't like Garcia was some stud at the time who was going to demand a huge contract either.ScotchMIrish wrote: ↑16 Sep 2025 08:00 amWho was "sold for prospects"? I'm aware of 3 pitchers being traded for other players. Same think the pirates do regularly. How has that worked out for the pirates?alw80 wrote: ↑16 Sep 2025 08:18 amThe Cardinals sold vets who didn't have a future here for some prospects because they were out of contention.
