Top of the 2nd was really sad.

Top of the 4th .... just as sad.

This team is sad.

Yeah. It worked perfectly, burned up an out, and got the Mariners out of the inning.

If only it were the 1960's when teams scored 3 runs a game and strikeouts weren't common, it would be a good strategy.

Plenty of runners no one can drive them in.

Nootbaar doing his best to yet again fail to drive in 50 runs in a season.

you can't make this stuff up
One consolation.....at least two of the three are unlikely to be factors next season!
And if it was up to me....Noot would be gone also.
Time to move on.
Even Nootbaar’s biggest honks coming into this year have to admit that Melville was right about him. He is a 4th outfielder, nothing more.

And next year I hope he’s somebody else’s 4th outfielder.
+1
Seems like a nice guy but time to move on!
Corner OF- You have possibilities in Donovan, Burleson, and Herrera who are all much better than Noot.
Heck I’d even stick with Walker ahead of him.

It’s almost laughable how inept this team is up and down the lineup. It’s against all odds how much this team fails in obvious situations. They tell us that a man on third less than 2 outs, the ML average of that man scoring is around 53 percent. I guess the Cardinals have a string of success coming.

Wow

It does beg the question....
Why in the heck do we all keep watching this team?

Addicts? Masochists? Hobby-less? Crazy?

Maybe a bit of all the above?

uugh
