2-0 .... it begins

Let's set the bar at the Cards breaking up the shut out and see how it goes from there.

Looking at Pallante's season game log. In the 17 games that he started and in which the team ended up losing, the offense only scored more than 4 runs once.

In the 10 games he started and in which the team ended up winning, the offense scored less than 5 runs twice.

More base running failure.

Announcers said Cardinals have gone 13 games without a stolen base.

Being 2 runs down yet 5th inning, Oli felt he needed to take his shot there of having BOTH RISP by calling the 'double steal '.
He had Scott as his lead runner . What he didn't know is that Verlander's pitch looked like a semi-pitchout . Giants were probably looking for that move of OLI trying to advance the two runners.

Part of that risk is that Oli has little confidence currently that the team may score a couple runs. So he gambles on that play and got burned.

Fortunate bounce off the backstop after yet another wild pitch. Surprised the Cards didn't botch the run-down play.

Pallante not a bad outting. Stayed in trouble. Not great defense at times.

Gorman, 3 AB, 3 K's. Yeah he's someone you can build around. Lol

Always try to be a glass half full optimist but watching Gorman & Walker is depressing.

Would anyone be upset if the Cards replaced everyone in the lineup for 2026? Maybe you keep Donovan but who else would you be excited to watch next year?
