Life's short, I'm gonna enjoy a ballgame with friends/kids whenever the opportunity strikes. This isn't a 1 year fix for this team.

Some have gotten to the point that they can’t even be happy over a walk off win.

Or they’re capable of holding two thoughts in their head at the same time.
1. Glad they won the game.
2. This organization’s gonna have to do a whole lot more than win one meaningless game in August against the Pirates to turn things around.

Not everybody needs to put a caveat on an enjoyable game. Cards won, it was fun and entertaining, end story. Everybody knows that winning that game isn't turning around an organization. It doesn't take a baseball savant to point that out.

Of course it doesn’t. But for some, winning on a Monday night against Pittsburgh seems to absolve them from being below .500 and 17 games back. I’m not one of those people; I’d rather focus on the forest than the trees.

Seems like a bit of a stretch. I haven't seen anybody do that.

Cards could have the same record and same payroll and I bet they could have had far better attendance this year if they let Mo go two years ago and made moves showing they were at least trying to build a tam that could compete in the playoffs. Cards have failed to show fans they are trying to compete for the playoffs. Several half steps and afraid of making deals. Hopefully with Chaim that changes but we live in the Show Me State and until they show fans they are really interested in trying to build a winner and are not afraid of making deals then the fans will stay away.

I was fortunate to be obligated to attend a family dinner. When I got home I flipped on the TV and it was even worse than I anticipated. 8 zip Buccos. Went outside to retrieve something from the car and missed Gorman home run. Only exciting play of the night, but not meaningful in the grand scheme of things.
