Of all the guys people want to (buzz) about, Burly should be low on the list. Of course, he is far from untouchable, just like all the players on this team, but you don't trade him for potential, not now. Don't we have enough of those guys on the team. Gorman hits a homer and the fan boys come out, but in reality he's awful. Church finally gets a hit and all of a sudden everyone is pumped. Walker hits the ball hard and the EV is 114 and people start talking about potential, fact is, he sucks, at bat and in the field. Scott steals a base and people love him, yet all these guys are hitting .225. Now you want to trade Burly for someone with potential? As bad as we are as a team, think where we would be without him, we could be playing Hampton everyday.

I smiled when I saw the thread Title.
I only wish there is some way we could place a bet in Vegas BEFORE opening a thread as to predicting the originator.
We’d all be rich!
And you are a joke trying so hard to be relevant.
Didn’t need to try very hard.
Very easy prediction!

Very sound reasoning.

He's a natural, plays multiple positions and a keeper.
He’s one dimensional, plays a few positions poorly, and worth little to nothing in trade, especially not for a starter w/upside, because other GMs aren’t stupid. Fixed it for you Shady.

Nice quote for critics to consider, "Alec Burleson has transformed his approach to become a top-30 hitter in the National League based on his WRC+, which checks in at 120, meaning his offense is 20% better than average".
The “critics” (as you dishonestly call them)
have “considered” it—in fact, they’ve frequently cited Burleson’s wRC+ (and OPS+) in more comprehensive analyses of his performance and value. Too bad you’re such a bad faith dolt that you can’t recognize and acknowledge it.
Now here’s something for
you to consider: Burleson currently ranks 7th in fWAR among position players and 9th overall on the roster of a below-.500 team. A 120 wRC+ is pretty much the
bare minimum required for a starter who is an entirely one-dimensional, bat-only player who is below average at everything else and a liability in the field.
Call the Cardinals and insist Burleson be traded for underachieving. See how far that gets you. LOL
You call the other teams and insist he’s the next Tony Gwynn so they’ll trade their farm for him. LOL
