Fourth, I don't think there would be any clash of egos.........the egomaniac POBO is retiring and Bloom seems to be the antithesis of Mo
Don't know if the Cardinals will keep Oli or not, but I don't expect that Molina will be the manager in 2026.
Manly because:
1. He's proved nothing as a manager.
2. it would be so hard to fire him.
They'd blame any failure on others, and they'd scream bloody murder if he were canned.

One guy more important than winning………RemarkableRed Bird Classic wrote: ↑09 Aug 2025 13:13 pmThey wouldn't see it in those terms. They'd claim others were at fault. They would rather lose with molina, than perhaps win with someone else …
Remarkable
I hate to think of bad things would have to get before these people would agree that Molina needed to be fired.
Re: If Yadi Is Here Next Year, Bloom Won’t Be
I have no idea, but it would be naive to think something as important as a manager not being discussed when hiring a new GM. My gut says Bloom is there to increase value and potential for a team, that is for sale.Bomber1 wrote: ↑09 Aug 2025 11:45 amSo do you think Molina will be manager next season?Pura Vida wrote: ↑09 Aug 2025 10:48 am Hiring Molina would excite the fan base. But they still need to win. I am pretty sure when Bloom was hired all manager scenarios were discussed and agreed upon. And last night's appearance as a "honorary coach" was part of the plan. I don't remember that distinction ever offered before.
Re: If Yadi Is Here Next Year, Bloom Won’t Be
The discussion is not whether he should be hired….it’s what happens when /if he fails.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑09 Aug 2025 13:18 pmAre they wrong? He was a badass as a player. You must know Bloom personally.Red7 wrote: ↑08 Aug 2025 19:24 pm Molina is not Bloom’s idea of a manager. He may not keep Marmol, but he’ll hire 2.0. Yadi will want more control than anyone since TLR and that’s not Bloom would be looking for. The ONLY way Molina is the manager in 2026 is if DeWitt demands it and there’s no way Bloom could be POBO after that.

The last two managers who had "input" won World Series with multiple WS and post season appearances.
Yeah I want the next manager to have a say.
It only makes sense and it works.
