That's 2 errors that led to runs in 2 games. Nado would've had both of them easily.
Yes, the last 5 years for Cardinal fans we watched a 10 time Gold Glove at 3rd.
We won’t see that again.
Same as when Yadi was behind the plate.
And some fans here just couldn't wait for both of them to be gone. Be very careful what you wish for.
Just because Gorman sucks more doesn’t mean people should wish for arenado who sucks slightly less. either way you have a player who sucks at third
They've wanted to trade Nado all year to "make room", not so we can get Eugenio Suarez in here...
its the wrong motivation and the wrong outcome. Also Nado doesn't suck at defense.
Yea but a good defensive third baseman who sucks with the bat is not the guy you want on a team like this. They should trade nado he is not going to lead the cardinals to the promise land he would be good on a team that has a good lineup where he can solidify the defense for the cardinals he is just an anchor that drags them down.
He doesn't drag the team down. That's just a false narrative that posters tell themselves. He simply doesn't do enough to push the team forward. But neither does anyone else. Get someone who is better than Nado in all ways first - then think about trading him.
A light-hitting mostly glove third baseman is no longer very useful. And he does drag down this offense many a game.

If Gorman keeps giving up an error or a hit that Nado would’ve thrown out nearly every game - that’s the very definition of not being able to “stick” at 3b.

Nado at third would be fine, "IF" you had a power bat and someone else in the lineup that could hit for average. With Scott , Noot, Pages, and Walker in the lineup there is no thump and most nights expecting any more than a couple hits from the group is a dream. If all we have to replace Nado is Gorman I'm more than satisfied to watch him hit .240. The problem is the guys I mentioned, not Nado. That doesn't mean I'm thrilled with him. but he's steady in the field and has saved a number of games with his glove. Improving the outfield is more of a concern to me.

Okay
Was at the game last night and really focused on Norman's defense, something I haven't done since he moved from 2nd base.
Upon further review,
I may have been wrong to say have some "patience".
His footwork is pitiful, his throws....well they're right there for everybody to see.
I'd still play him there as much as possible the remainder of this season.
BUT
J. Oquendo really has his work cut out for him next spring even trying to make him a league average 3rd baseman.

Also, IF JJ has the arm for 3B, just put him there and play one of your multitude of options at 2B. Maybe, just maybe Saggese will hit and be a serviceable second baseman. If you don't trade Donnie, then he is there. We shall see....

That’s my thought. Adding another second baseman is not optimistic.

He’s bad and if he doesn’t hit for power…….he shouldn’t be here

Gorma's lack of defense will seal his fate. That sequence was a loser's reaction, rushing and uncertainty

Nolan Arenado doesn't "suck" as a defensive 3B: 6 Rdrs/yr: 2.82 RF/9: 2.54 lgRF9: 2.71 RF/G: 2.49 lgRFG. As you can tell from the bold section, Arenado is well above average. Is Arenado as good as he used to be, NO, but he is good.

Nado has certainly won some games in the late innings this year both with his bat and his glove. Mostly before he got hurt. When he got hurt is when the team started sucking. We are better with a healthy Nado.
