Just because simple-minded people are willing to pay thousands for an ugly Versace hand bag doesn't mean the bag is exceptionally useful or attractive. It just means some people are foolish.
I'll accept this as your concession speech.
Please delude yourself as you see fit. Trying to get you recognize a turd burger when you see one is more trouble than it's worth.
Keep digging if you wish. It's weird, but your prerogative.
But again, I do appreciate you effectively conceding with your silly analogy to a designer item that people purchase for any myriad of reasons.
You're basically saying that people who pay for journalism, of any type, are foolish, because none of it has any value... according to you and only you, of course. Do you, buddy

You can't even beat up your own strawman.
No strawman here. Keep grasping. I get why you're doing it, because your train of thought is increasingly spiraling away from you.
We get it - you know more than anyone else, and reading up is worthless because whomever you're reading provides zero value aside from the value they provide to themselves.
Oh, and Keith Law = Skip Bayless some how, some way
Goodness, your whole argument here has been abhorrently obnoxious and stupid.

Projection is a psychological defense mechanism where individuals attribute their own unwanted thoughts, feelings, or actions to someone else.

Saying a man's life and career has no value or worth is an extremely doooooshy thing to say. It just makes you sound like an ignorant asssshole.
But maybe that's what you are. It's sounding more and more like it, here.
Seriously, imagine telling someone that their life's work is worthless and of no value to anyone. How could you be more of a (buzz) than that?
Maybe that projection you're referring to... is a reflection on yourself, and not the person you're talking to. I'm not the one saying Keith Law is of no worth to anyone.
I like Keith. I respect his work. When I've spoken with him, he was candid and kind. So to be straight up, I'm pretty offended and put off by your smugness about this.

I didn't say Law's work has no value.
I said: "I don't see any evidence that Law is good at anything except self promotion. He does, at least take strong opinions which is good, but whether his opinions are worth anything to anyone but himself is debatable."
Every word is true.

Again, we both know that it is not true, but now you're back at square one... and we both know why.
He is getting paid to do a job and generate content which target markets pay for. If his job and content was worth nothing to anyone... and he wasn't good at anything, the large corporate that he works for and gets paid by would not be, ya know, paying him to do it.
So, you can stop being an assshole anytime... or you can continue, your choice.

What Law is good at is getting people like you to pay to read his opinions. Good for him. But That doesn't mean he's good at evaluating talent. It just doesn't.
Don't forget about Skip Bayless and those Versace bags.

Do you think your baseball prospect talent evaluation skills and processes are superior to Keith Law?

My evaluation skills are pretty rusty, and I haven't been paying much attention either, so no.
Better question: Do I value Law's evaluation skills more than the Cardinal's collective skills? The answer here is also no.

Not backreading this pissing match.
Has jbrach chimed in to say Law is wrong and doesn't know what he's talking about and is just another Mo hater yet?
