At least Mo won’t be making the decision and his minor league development team won’t ruin the kid!

No. It will all be on Bloom tenure. Will be so interesting to see the real differences in systems.

When Doyle shows he is ready, he should be moved up accordingly. There should be no preset or arbitrary timeline. Every player and situation should be viewed and judged separately and independently.
I’d agree. Do you think they operate with a matrix. Guided by time, not results.
I don't know SBD. I do know that certain posters think there should be some preset progression through Rookie, A, AA, AAA.

I hope the big club is more concerned with:

1. Is the player ready?
2. If so, do we have a role on the big club to give the player regular playing time and opportunity?
3. Are we ready to start the financial clock?

Max velo + Spin rate = only limited number of innings in arms now a days before something can go wrong.

I have no problem bringing pitchers along much quicker than I do hitters given the injury factor.

Those are good questions.

Player ready. Are they ever “ ready.” There simply comes a time in space, when decisions of this nature must be made, based on performance, not a guided time line.

Playing time. A tougher road to hoe. 26 men. 13 pitchers. 8 position players.

Money. I think you hit it. Money. Give it back. Keep your hands off my stack. Money. Is a hit. Don’t give me that too good bull sh-t.

Some Floyd to ease the pain.

Many on here confuse the development of MLB draft picks with that of NFL draft picks. The top five NFL draft picks are currently being groomed to start in the NFL this year. Cam Ward started studying the Titans playbook the day after the draft. The top five MLB draft picks are not in the same position as those NFL draft picks.
