Love hearing the reports on Stancl ...

Good to hear about Stancl and Prkarcik.TruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 13:25 pm They ended a bit early today, around 1:05. I’m definitely not one of the prospect experts but here’s my takeaways.
- Jiricek looks bigger. Strong skater. Still lost some physical battles too easily
- Stancl and Prkarcik look like NHL players. Stancl is close IMHO.
- Ralph doesn’t seem like a great skater, but otherwise he’s a mountain of a man
- Carbonneau scored a spin-o-Rama goal that was sick. I think it was Lindstein he beat, but missed the number. Also can see why his knock was trying to do too much. Tried to walk guys a lot.
- Lindstein is so smooth and good positionally. Had trouble in the net front drill physically.
- Jecho is not a good skater and not sure he’ll make it.
This camp to me lacks high end skill as compared to prior years. Been coming for years, and this crop all seems like tier 2 players. Middle six forwards and middle to bottom pair Dmen. Some will be good NHL players, but we seem to lack top end guys.
Probably a downturn in talent because Stenberg, Kaskimati, and Dvorsky are all pushing the NHL roster soon.
Re: Anyone at the Development Camp?
Or could it be that just the general quality level is a bit higher and it is less easy to stand out?

Re: Anyone at the Development Camp?
Agree that the crop here projects as mostly middle tier guys at best but we don’t lack top end guys. They’re just not in this camp, the main ones being Dvorsky, Snuggerud and Stenberg. Dean, Ellis, Kaskimaki etc are mid-tier guys that aren’t there either.TruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 13:25 pm They ended a bit early today, around 1:05. Carbonneau is probably the most high caliber prospect there but he’s only 18.

It could. Also, Jiricek is only 19 years old and coming off significant injury time where he did not play for a while. Hope he stays healthy and gets better quickly!

Based on a post of yours in another thread I take it you place Carbonneau just below Dvorsky, Snuggeruud, and Stennberg and just above Lindstein. Am I correct? Where does Mailloux fit in your top prospects list? TIASTL fan in MN wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 15:52 pmAgree that the crop here projects as mostly middle tier guys at best but we don’t lack top end guys. No. I said Dvorsky, Snuggerud and Lindstein still as the top 3. Then probably Carbonneau and Stenberg.Blue Sabbath wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 16:12 pmBased on a post of yours in another thread I take it you place Carbonneau just below Dvorsky, Snuggeruud, and Stennberg and just above Lindstein. I haven’t really thought where to place Mailloux yet but probably right in that same grouping with Lindstein, Carbo and Stenberg. I see Devo and Snuggy in the top tier and then the next 4 guys as potentially still pretty high caliber impact players. With Jiricek with the ability to join that group if he can stay healthy and prove he belongs in the group.

Thanks for correcting me further clarifying your rankings.I respect your knowledge and opinions and enjoy reading them along with Hockey Pete, Pierre, Seattle and a few others.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 16:42 pmNo. I said Dvorsky, Snuggerud and Lindstein still as the top 3. Re: Anyone at the Development Camp?
Awesome. Thank you very much for the reports.
As some know on here, I like Pekarcik and do not by any means think he's a superstar, but could be a nice 3/4 line option.
Agree on Ralph - mountain of a man, but needs to improve.
Hoping Jiricek can fill out and overcome some apparent tentativeness.
Again, thanks for all the updates!

Is Lukas Fischer there? What happened with Matthew Mayich-does anyone know? I was really high on this kid last year, but read somewhere that someone thought he was released from the organization.

Looks like Mayich is going to play at Clarkson University-would Blues still retain his rights or does that give him his unconditional release?Lets_Clinch wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 17:21 pm Is Lukas Fischer there? Re: Anyone at the Development Camp?
I could be wrong, but I thought his signing rights expired as the team decided not to give him a contract. Maybe that was somebody else, so apologies if I’m thinking of the wrong guy.Lets_Clinch wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 17:24 pmLooks like Mayich is going to play at Clarkson University-would Blues still retain his rights or does that give him his unconditional release?Lets_Clinch wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 17:21 pm Is Lukas Fischer there? Re: Anyone at the Development Camp?
The Blues lost the rights to Mayich on June 1. Or put another way, they declined to sign him, not deeming him worthy of one of their 50 contract slots.TruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 17:40 pmI could be wrong, but I thought his signing rights expired as the team decided not to give him a contract. He was like our 10th best LD prospect.
