The Golden Knights will put Pietrangelo on Long Term Injured Reserve and use his $8.8 million cap hit this offseason to fill the void. We are hearing he needs 2 different surgeries and could miss 9-12 months. If he is potentially available to play in the postseason he could be activated despite cap issues due to the LTIR loophole. The new NHL CBA eliminates that loophole, but does not begin until 2026-27.

It's similar to the Pujols trajectory. Except Petro got another ring and Pujols got a much better send off.

Except there was no decline for Pietrangelo. I mean Armstrong didn’t think so but what does he know

Even with arm he got the most minutes in an elimination game.

Pujols also hung in there through his age 42 season. His numbers would have looked quite a bit better if he had bailed at 35 lol.
