the OP is about Burleson's lack of athleticism on the field. I don't believe it's about Contreras.Shady wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 14:14 pmSo how'd you like Contreras' smart base running last night?BarryTown wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 12:39 pmYou had to make 4 edits to that "response" and it's still mess. Stop trying to hijack the thread.
Just agree that he sucks on defense and the base paths. He can hit with no one on base really well. Perfect lead off man or 9th hitter.
Start a Contreras sucks thread elsewhere

I didn't create this as a Contreras thread. Stop bringing up Sonny Gray and Contreras in a Burleson threadShady wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 14:14 pmSo how'd you like Contreras' smart base running last night?BarryTown wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 12:39 pmYou had to make 4 edits to that "response" and it's still mess. Burleson is a bad outfielder in general vs. Contreras had a baserunning blunder last night.Shady wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 14:14 pmSo how'd you like Contreras' smart base running last night?BarryTown wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 12:39 pmYou had to make 4 edits to that "response" and it's still mess. See how that's not a balanced counterargument?

Go crawl in a hole. You aren't the moderator here, Guru. Your scoldings mean nothing to me.The poster I responded to has often hijacked threads of mine with something regarding Contreras or some kind of personal nonsense. Did you admonish him? I doubt it. Because he's one of your gang. You are quite easy to figure out. Stick to reporting. Stop calling another poster by their first name in a derogatory manner on an anonymous message board. Like you've done in the past. That's bush league.craviduce wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 14:38 pmStop the petty name calling, and trying to hijack this thread.Shady wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 14:35 pmGo crawl in a hole. Re: Burleson looked like a pig on ice skates last night
Surprised to see Burly has 3 stolen bases
Re: Burleson looked like a pig on ice skates last night
Burleson's stance kind of reminds me of Rich N's stance.
Re: Burleson looked like a pig on ice skates last night
Burleson is hitting .290+ and still only has a .3 bWAR, and a career .8bWAR. He's a decent option as a cost-controlled player against righties, but he's not a guy you invest much in. Ideally, he's DH only/bench player.
Re: Burleson looked like a pig on ice skates last night
So the do over of the roster with playing the "youngsters", who are not, is saying the future is a singles hitter who cannot field. The year he showed up in STL he looked like the Pillsbury Dough Boy - and people want that to be the future.
Re: Burleson looked like a pig on ice skates last night
He had 42 home runs at AAA in 972 plate appearances. He’s not just a singles hitter.
