Ya think? Here you are year after year with the "at least we aren't under .500" line. It's almost as bad as the people who are always negative. It's just predictable and boring.Cranny wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 16:46 pmI guess they tricked me then with the Ozuna, Goldy, and Arenado trades?Poojols wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 15:57 pmYou made up the part about "trades aren't to improve the team". I didn't say that, liar. So I agree, it is one of the most ridiculous and dumbest things I've heard on here.Cranny wrote: ↑26 Apr 2025 08:07 amGot it. Major trades are’t to improve the team, be more competitive, or fill MOTO holes. They’re simple to “trick” the fans.Poojols wrote: ↑26 Apr 2025 08:00 amYes, we've been hearing the "no losing season" argument for a decade. Cleary it's not working. Who would have guessed that being cheap and incompetent could put the fanbase off?
You just named all three of the club's big bat moves over the past decade. Those moves were designed to trick people like you into thinking they are competing. Fortunately more and more people are waking up, hence the empty seats in 2025.
That may be one of the most ridiculous and dumbest things I’ve heard on here.
I said they are designed to trick people like you into thinking they are competing. Small improvements on teams with several glaring holes. They fooled you.
His endgame is what has worked for them before.Goldfan wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 17:25 pm So Cranny since you seem to be the closet to BDW of any known poster here……what is his endgame? Hope Bloom performs miracles with drafts and Caribbean signings? Something that has NEVER completely filled a winning Cards roster in the last 40yrs or so. You’ve seem to have written off ever signing a worthwhile FA. Even on the very slim chance that Bloom hits on most prospects that’s 5-7yrs down the road. The Fan Base will have been all but destroyed as old baseball dogs die off and interest in the STL team being shattered…..youth has too many alternatives to care.
Just quoting what a moderator called him, QV. I was told “don’t feed the troll.” It was good advice.
But then you call them trolls. How does that work?Cranny wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 07:50 amJust quoting what a moderator called him, QV. I was told “don’t feed the troll.” It was good advice.
Gosh, I don’t know Red. How does all this stuff work for you?OldRed wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 07:57 amBut then you call them trolls. How does that work?Cranny wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 07:50 amJust quoting what a moderator called him, QV. I was told “don’t feed the troll.” It was good advice.
Cranny you had Pujols, Holliday, C. Carp, Waino, Yadi when filling in with Berkman…..Cranny wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 18:27 pmHis endgame is what has worked for them before.Goldfan wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 17:25 pm So Cranny since you seem to be the closet to BDW of any known poster here……what is his endgame? Have a strong development system and fill in from outside as needed with older players that he can sign to short team contracts to keep flexibility.
Berkman, Beltran, and Lester are examples. He knows it’s the only way to compete with $300 million plus payrolls.
Simple. Hall of Fame type players don't come around all the time. They got Goldy and Arenado to build around, and how did that work out?Goldfan wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 09:42 amCranny you had Pujols, Holliday, C. The piece constantly miss or forget about is the Star Core when filling in.
The only thing going on now is the filler players from the minors……thats all this team has. You think that changes in a big way and soon
Who is the new Pujols, Yadi…..how are they signing a Holliday type today??
2/3 of your plan is a wish upon a star

When a moderator talks to you privately, it’s because they want you to shut the [fork] up. Then why do you consistently fail to "listen to what they say?" A couple weeks ago, you directly quote-replied to WLTFE and lied about not being able to read his post. [As a purely technical matter, it is impossible to directly quote-reply to a post without being able to see/read it.]Cranny wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 11:23 amQuincy Varnish wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 10:34 amThat’s not a quote.Cranny wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 07:50 amJust quoting what a moderator called him, QV.
