That felt good

Thomas was superb, no doubt. Didn't look hampered by injury at all. Maybe some good pain meds.

These are the games where I really really loved reading the FTP threads the following day.

That 6th goal was sublime, a distillate of all Blues hockey

Thanks for the report on Texier's performance. I was unable to watch the game but early in this thread I predicted a victory tonight with Texier and Tucker playing well. I believe I was right on both counts. Now onto another win on SundayLGB!!xweazel75 wrote: ↑24 Apr 2025 23:26 pm give Monty credit. watch Texier's game. he's in for the rest of this series. he gets it. keeps it low, works on possession - its exactly what the 3rd line needed. if anyone rewatches this game, there's a LOT of highlights, but watch his game - he's solid, leave him in.
btw, Fowler, come on - just an absolute steal of a player

Wolfman Faksa had a wonderful hit in the corner that set up the Toro goal. Defenseman looked stunned and hurt like he couldn't believe it just happened, then was slow getting back to cover Toro.
That's how you play with a 4 goal lead with 10 minutes to play in the 3rd at home!
Someone said the hits don't matter until game 6 of the series - well we accelerated that to game 3 of this series!

Totally agree with this xweazel! Tex was solid all game. I thought Tucker had a good game as well and hope they keep him in the lineup. Have been wondering how they'd handle the D pairs and obvously it's a tough choice for the coach who went 7 D before. I'd probably rotate Leddy and Suter and keep the rest the same unless Tex needs a break and Joseph is fresh and ready.Blue Sabbath wrote: ↑25 Apr 2025 00:43 amThanks for the report on Texier's performance. I hope he does keep it up, but look at this year. Texier finally gets back in the lineup, looks good for a game, then reverts back. I hope he reverses this trend but I’m not holding my breath until after Sundayxweazel75 wrote: ↑24 Apr 2025 23:26 pm give Monty credit. watch Texier's game. he's in for the rest of this series. he gets it. keeps it low, works on possession - its exactly what the 3rd line needed. if anyone rewatches this game, there's a LOT of highlights, but watch his game - he's solid, leave him in.
