I’m starting to feel like I do when get up before sunrise to let my cat out. It’s still dark but when I look to the East I see a glimmer of light.

I like it. I was afraid oli was going to do a time share at catcher between Herrera and pages With starts but herreras bat needs to be in the line up 140 gamesCardsBest wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 15:59 pmI like the late defensive subs. Subbing out Walker and Herrera.
Cards 9th inning OF Noot, Sianni, Scott is very good defensive OF. All three can play CF and having all in the outfield at same time is their best defense.
Cards using their backup catcher Pages for late inning defense is made easier because if something happened to Pages Contreras can move from 1st to catcher

Normally I’m in agreement with you on things, but I don’t know on this one. It’s not that I wouldn’t like to see them extend Fedde, but I don’t see DeWitt ponying up to what it’s going to take. If he continues to produce someone is going to give him a 4 or 5 year deal in the 20 - 25 mil/yr range. Just look back at some of the deals guys got this off season. Dewitt is going to want to pay him more in the 18 mil range and only for 3 years. They won’t offer him a qualifing offer either, I don’t think, we’ll maybe, but probably not and then we end up with nothing for Tommy Edman!Futuregm2 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 15:12 pmYep, I am not in a hurry to trade him. And I certainly feel that if he repeats last year, or even does better, he could very well be extended.Cusecards wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 15:10 pmIf he wants to stay in St. Louis for REASONABLE $$82birds wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 14:57 pmlooked like a #1 today.Cusecards wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 14:51 pm I’m certainly not opposed to trading Fedde if the return is good.
I just don’t get why so many feel we HAVE to trade him??
I understand that he will be approaching free agency.
But....if he has a good year and finds a home here keep him.
He may not be a #2 SP but that is not on him.![]()
he makes a solid #4 maybe borderline #3?
Cards obviously need some of the youngsters(Mathews, McGreevy, Hence, etc) to emerge.
That is true, but I think Home openers are a little different.
In addition, it would be a tougher throw for the catcher with Noot being a LH hitter.ramfandan wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025 15:35 pm I have a thought on Scott II , Flip flop Winn to 8th and Scott to 9th.
Why you ask ?
For I rather see Noot following Scott instead of Winn.
With Scott’ ability to steal, I think Cards may have better odds scoring Scott over the long haul with a more productive hitter immediately following him like Noot vs. winn
Anyone else ?
