Not sure I follow your thought process. They haven't won the right way? I think it has been an exciting yearStrummer Jones wrote: ↑05 Jun 2025 16:26 pmI'd find that acceptable if we were dominant all season long and someone finally landed a punch on us. There's no excuse for despondency.Bob Kunush wrote: ↑05 Jun 2025 16:14 pmOne bad game where they didnt fight back and their Matheny ball? They had a five run lead disapeer then went down by three all.in the flash of an eye. They are human. I think they were a bit despondent and shell shocked. They have fought hard all year. I think are due one here and there.Strummer Jones wrote: ↑05 Jun 2025 16:05 pmAs one of those Page 18 guys...yep. Tuesday's game was TOO close to Matheny ball.blackinkbiz wrote: ↑05 Jun 2025 15:55 pmAfter enduring the horror of 2023-24, every poster here has earned their right to be negative of this team. *Especially in the clutch considering how many games they blew or losses they snatched from the jaws of victory these past 2 seasons.Bob Kunush wrote: ↑05 Jun 2025 15:46 pm I just liove reading in Page 19 how all the negative nancies and constsnt complainers threw in the towel and started their typical insulting of everybody.
Having them be wrong again is ALMOST as good as the win. Almost. But this was a much needed hard fought win and another indictment if the current stupidity of removing effective starters. The Royaks started was dealing. I am ready for that trend to start reversing some day. We can only hope.
As soon as Helsley gave up the tying run in the 9th, I knew the Cards would choke in the 9th. Seriously, VSII, Vilade, Pozo? That's the best this org could muster in the 9th? Ugh! I then KNEW the Royals would score their ghost runner because, let's face it, every visiting team scores their ghost runner against us.
Was pleasantly surprised they came back, though. Nice to see Contreras take the affront of Donny being walked to reach him and shove it down their throats.
Final note, I have no clue what to do about KNado. He's killing this team. The only thing keeping his WAR from being negative is his defense. What a pathetic sack of sh*t.
Though, I guess to be fair, Matheny ball would've never put up seven runs in the first place. But they sure fought back like Matheny ball.
Just my opinion.
They are not a powerhouse team so playing hard is the only way they are going to win. And they have outperformed their expectations and fought back many times. To turn on them after one bad game seems harsh, but kudos to you for at least coming back and defending your opinion. I am sure we both want them to win.
